A very nice blanket. It is soft, no rough itching. Really warm without being heavy or cumbersome. The blanket is flexible and soft, 100% wool. Quality.

Love the vintage look, and it's 4.5 lbs, enough to keep you very warm. It came with a strap to (hand carry), but I prefer a shoulder strap. On Amazon, I bought a two inch purse strap (made of canvas) to hook to the carrier they sent, looks awesome, comfortable to carry (frees up your hands). It's pricey, but worth the splurge!

Seriously, if not being cold is the goal, its perfect. Some complain about it being thin, yet its extremely dense. I just use it over a softer blanket. They should give these to the homeless. Its a pet hair magnet, but again, warmth. Its too hot if its not cold in the room.

I keep this in my vehicle to use when I go camping, and to keep in case of emergency. I used it last week when I was camping in the high Sierra Nevada mountains in California at about 10,000 feet elevation. It gets cold at night, and my sleeping bag is not rated for colder temps. So, I slept with this wool blanket on top of the sleeping bag, and I was perfectly comfortable, even though it was cold enough for there to be ice on everything by morning. During the evenings while sitting in my folding camp rocking chair the cold air was coming through the fabric of the chair making my backside feel cold, so I spread this blanket on my chair, and sat on it. Very cozy. When I ordered this blanket, I had a little concern that it might have a strong smell, as a few reviewers mentioned. I found that it does have a slight smell, but it's not unpleasant, and not strong. It just has a subtle wool blanket smell that I think is a good, comforting mild smell. When it's rolled up in my vehicle I don't smell it at all. I don't know if it's itchy on the skin because I didn't use it on my bare skin. In general, my skin isn't sensitive to wool, anyway. I've known a couple of people who had wool allergies who would get an itchy rash from using a wool blanket, or wearing wool clothing, but that's not me. I like wool because it's soft, cozy, odor-resistant so it doesn't need frequent washing, and it retains its warmth even if it gets wet.

This is my second purchase of this wool blanket, it’s a little pricier than other blankets but it’s excellent quality. You don’t want to skip on quality for an emergency item like this. This time I purchased two more and stored them in our cars.

Great Swiss wool blanket. Using it for hunting and camping. Needed rugged outdoor cold protection. Its not super thick. Rolls up nice and comes with its own leather strap harness to wrap around when ts rolled up and has a carry handle. Meets the functionality I need. The blanket does not smell. Its not super soft wool, but is not abnormally scratchy either. I am 6 ft 1 and 220 pounds and can lay it out and wrap up in it. Its brand new so don't know how durable it is over time, so thats why i gave 4 stars.

Bought this 100% wool blanket for emergency use .Lanolin coating the wool fibers serves to repel rain or water and provides warmth even when wet.Glad I got one that had the tan carry harness .Very beautiful replica of the Swiss Military Blanket

Lovely warm and soft for pure wool. This will be coming out with me on every camping trip.

Die Decke sieht toll aus, fusselt minimal, im Auto nehme ich sie deshalb nicht. Den Hype um diese Wolldecken kann ich nicht verstehen, sie halten nur warm, wenn man zusätzlich ein Luftpolster generiert, z.B. mit Blättern oder einer zweiten aufbauschenden Decke. Meine Mikrofaserdecken (Schäfchenwolloberfläche) halten besser warm und sind leichter, lassen aber mehr Wind durch. Die beiden Decken kombiniert sind sehr effektiv, von Kunstsoffen möchte ich aber weitestgehend weg, daher behalte ich die Decke und experementiere weiter.
