Excellent book that addresses the many kinds of aggression a dog can have. Explains thoroughly and details how to correct these behaviors in dogs.

I never alpha a dog unless it’s a last resort. I have a German Shepard that was mistreated before being left on the side of the road. He is very aggressive toward me and I understand his past. That said, when a dog that can take you apart starts training he can see you being like his last owner. Beware of an angry, aggressive animal that sees you as the problem. I still have the dog and we are partners now. This book didn’t contribute much to that outcome. There are still good bits of information all thru it.

Some dogs find the world a scary place. Follow these procedures and they will find it less so and you’re time together will be more enjoyable.I love that it is stressed there isn’t a quick fix, but there is a solution.Love Ms. Miller’s books.

I have a German Shepherd that has fear aggression issues after being severely abused. I wanted to know if there is something else I was missing during my training. I gained some valuable tips to use and the humor was great. I laughed through some of the sections while getting insight to the training tips as well. Great book!

Lots of common sense in this book. Excellent if you have a mature dog with behavioral issues. The solutions Pat Miller provides are working for us and we have tried many! Bonus is my dog is now much more attached to me and obedient in general than ever before. Creating a positive bond is essential.

I have ton's of dog training books that all seem to say the same thing. This book is a very useful standout. Pat Miller has some insights into dog behavior that are missed by other training books. Very useful in helping me understand my two dogs.

I like the teaching of not punishing a dog for acting naturally.

Well written, easy to understand and actually tells you step by step how to train and help your dog in areas I never even thought about. I highly recommend this book! I searched and searched - this book is it!

I thought this book would be more illuminating and so I am not as impressed as I hoped to be.I think it may be okay for some but for me I am thinking my methods are better. It is not a bad book just not for me .
