Product description For the WTI Watch Collection, the Type-1 KIROVA watch was selected as a model for the Russian Army. To cope with the demand for watches from the army, navy, railroads and the general public, in 1927 the Soviet government made a decision to establish and develop a watch industry. On December 21, the Council of Labor and Defense passed a resolution "On how to organize watch production in the USSR.” In its beginnings, it was designed as a pocket watch, manual mechanism, smooth case and uncomplicated edges. Later they reused this same mold and adapted it to be worn on the wrist. They made a leather case to hold it and increased the size of the crown, to be able to manipulate it with gloves. During the war, accurate timing was important for pilots, tankers, sailors and even drivers, as it allowed them to improve the accuracy of artillery fire and also to coordinate the transmission of signalers. To lay out a route for a pilot or a driver of a combat vehicle, it was required to be done manually using a map, a compass and a watch in which the stopwatch function was used. Look up the history on this timepiece it's a joy to own:) even when it's on my wrist It feels different the nostalgia the history'only 500 of this 1938 replica are made so its limited edition and it sits proud in my watch collection as a totally different watch I've ever owned it's automatic and runs smoothly just give it a quick wind and it's up and running:) a replica of a classic 1938 world war 2 watch which back then changed the gameplan in a lot of Italian navy missions' excellent value for money am glad I got one before there extinct and no longer available treat yourself ;)

Great Idea ..Poor execution
I was excited to see a watch at the right price point with a mechanical movement and enough details to make it look credible to the casual observer. Nobody would mistake this for a WW2 era Panerai -still a nice conversation piece if the quality was half decent. Not so. Out of the box the watch dial was lose and moving around (see picture). Seen enough- it is going back.Great idea with this collection- get someone else to make these watches.

Stopped working after three months
Looks great at first, but it’s not a quality product. Only lasted 3 months until it stopped working. Wish I could get my money back.
