The Reel
I’ve seen a lot of complaints about the reel most likely from inexperienced fisherman, this reel comes un lubed so you need to lube it! Everything is great! Great starter combo I bought for my wife!

Not too impressed
Rod seems nice, reel not so much. Tension knob barley works, backlashes a good bit. Retrieve is smooth. Overall 4/10

Mag control quit working on the first day of a week long trip, rod was as expected but real was junk

Disappointed
Bought this combo for bass fishing. Once I was able to put the combo together I found that the reel did not feel smooth when reeling. Adjust the drag and brake and it felt better. Decide to try it anyway and was disappointed with the way the reel felt while reeling. For the price of this combo I expected a lot more!!
