Can these drawers be used to store 12x12 sheets of art paper if dividers are removed?

From the product description: (Inside Drawer Storage Area Dimension: 14-1/4" Wide x 8-1/2" Long x 1/2" Deep) So, no they won’t hold 12 x12 inch sheets, without folding the sheets.

I’ve only seen natural wood but you could certainly paint them any colour you like!😊

Can you fit "pan pastels" in it? How many per drawer?

No. PanPastel (brandname) tubs are 5/8" tall, these drawers are 1/2'. If they WOULD fit, you could get 18 per drawer (3 x 6, slightly staggered lines) as the tubs are 2 3/8" diameter.

Would this work for storing pocket knives? More specifically spyderco & swiss army knives?

I’m not familiar with Spyderco knives but the slots for pencil crayons in the drawers are shallow. While I cannot say with certainty that they would fit knives, I have my doubts...good luck H

Great storage for pastels!

Great storage for pastels! I have several brands that all fit-Blick, Sennelier, Terry Ludwig. Drawers will slide all the way out, so you can move them around if you need to. Well made and sturdy. Very happy with it!
