Tarot Of The Abyss: Intuitive Tarot Deck by Ana Tourian, 80 Black-and-White Hand-Drawn Cards and 148-Page Guidebook, Detailed Illustrations

I love this deck. I have many, and am a long-time tarot reader. This one is unique and special. The art on the cards is thought-provoking and easy to connect to, even with just the black and white tone. I also love the hand-feel of these cards. They're smooth and shuffle easily; not too thick. The alternate cards are so interesting to me. I'm curious about why the author/artist chose these two cards in particular- the 3 of Swords and 10 of Swords. Both can certainly be cards that evoke heartbreak. I kept the alternate cards, but I picked the one of each that I really resonate with the most to include in my regular shuffles. I particularly enjoy the 10 of Swords version with the owl. It's definitely a different, more thought-provoking image to me than is typical on most 10 of Swords cards. This isn't a flashy deck, but it's a really beautiful, spiritual one. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful art, cards are printed on quality paper, and the guidebook does an excellent job explaining each card. Very happy I bought these deck!

WOW This deck surprised me in such a great way! The artwork is detailed and evokes emotion immediately. I usually work with very colorful decks and this blew my mind! I will be using this deck a lot on my YouTube channel and in private readings. The readings I've done with them were spot on accurate!!! Very happy with this purchase! Oh and it shuffles great and card stock is good! I bought it thinking I would color it myself but it's so great as it is that I'm not changing it.

It is so beautiful and evocative. Everyone I have shown the cards to just has to stare at each card. There's no deck, in my opinion, that produces such a profound feeling in people. I love that she included alternative 3 and 10 of swords. The booklet is very good. The cards are a perfect thickness for my not-giant hands, very easy for me to shuffle.

Beautiful illustrations, which is quite a compliment from me because my eye sight is not so good so I usually go for colourful less illustrated decks . It has now became one of my trusted and most favourite. The cards are based on rws but their take on them is much more forgiving and bright. Which I love, more meaning and less doom and gloom. Card stock is great, easy m shuffle. Not too big for my small hands and the guide book is beautifully written

I absolutely love the Toro of the ABYSS! It’s not just beautiful — every card feels alive, full of emotion and meaning. Ana is such a talented artist; her work has so much soul and attention to detail. I’ve developed a deep, personal connection with this deck — it feels like it truly speaks to me and helps me see things more clearly. I’m so grateful for this magic and inspiration. 🌟

I passed this one up so many times mostly because I really hated the design of the back of the card the image on the box, and the name of the deck. It really just didn't call to me. I ended up getting it on a whim. It is the deck that truly gave me an appreciation for the real meaning of the cards. These images just spoke to me differently and the guidebook is EVERYTHING. The hanged man image blew me away. It's an aha kind of moment when you "see" it. Read the creators words in the guidebook. Much of it is so profound and paired with the image, at least for me, gives me the understanding I wanted to get out of Tarot. And my goodness this deck is accurate and deep. When I need to pull cards for something serious or emotionally charged, this is the deck I pull out. Yes, I still hate the back of the cards. Make it to the back of the guidebook and see why she named it the Tarot of the Abyss. So fitting.

I am by no means doing reading for people. (I did a class and have practiced just a bit at home.) What I will say is this deck is, for me, the most intuitive deck I have so far. In comparison, standard Rider Tarot deck used for beginners was not easy for me to work with at all. The art work is beautiful but on most cards I can easily decipher meaning. Much less frustration and it makes a world of difference. I do also like having the book just in case I want to confirm I am on the right track. Very handy and helps me learn. There are also small things, like runes, in the art that provide extra little bits of knowledge when I stumble across them.

É o tarot mais lindo que eu já tive. As ilustrações são incríveis. Pura arte. Eu estou apaixonada. As cartas deslizam bem. A leitura fica muito rica pela interpretação da artista dos arcanos. Só mudaria a gramatura do papel pra mais grossa. No geral estou encantada. Vou passar bastante tempo admirando as ilustrações.

For anyone looking for a tarot deck giving that extra expression in the artwork, this is the deck for you. Starting with a good sturdy box, explanatory guide book, good sized cards and decent card stock, we move onto the general vibe of the cards. Personally, I love the Lovers...trees with their branches & roots entwined in a natural embrace, the alternate three of swords and the ten of swords giving another interpretation on the RWS decks. I'm leaving both versions of these in the deck to give more demention to readings. You can have all the bright colours and gilding you like in a deck but if the artwork is static then it's no help at all. With the Abyss deck, it may be black & white but Ana Tourian's talent with ink and flow gives new inspiration. It's a beautiful addition to my ever growing collection.
