This is a solid product. Good feel, quality, design and weight. Good grip, easy to hold long handle. Saving is absolutely smooth and close. It doesn’t look like Weishi type knockoffs. I also love the leather case it comes with. I definitely recommend this to people that are new to safety razors.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He's used it about 6 months now and it was his first safety razor. He absolutely loves it and has not used his traditional Mach razer since he got this one. It is heavy, sturdy, and very handsome. He comments at least once a week how much he likes it and he can't believe he never tried using one before! He is also saving so much money on the razor blades! We buy a pack at Wegmans for a few dollars and it lasts quite a while.

While this DE safety razor looks great, it simply doesn't deliver. One side performs flawlessly, but the other suffers from poor quality control as the blade is too close too the bar which tugs while shaving. The travel case is an added bonus. I would stick to a tried and true Mercur.

Great safety razor, like other reviewers have mentioned this does leave the razor a bit more exposed than your average safety razor, which is just great for me, I have to take less strokes to fully shave . But of course if your not experienced then you will get cuts, it's just the nature of the beast. But since using I have not cut myself, reason being I know the ins and outs of me beard. Great tool and nice little leather pouch.

This product is not delivered as advertised. Avoid! The logo on the handle and case are completely different from the pictures online. Not even close to the design represented. The case is not leather, but pleather. It is advertised as chrome plated brass, but the weight in hand disagrees, rather it has the weight of a cheap pop-metal. Also, the comb is visibly mis-manufactured and off center, resulting in an aggressive blade exposure on one side and no exposure on the other. Clearly a fraudulent rip-off. Avoid at all costs. Worst of all, it turns out there is a no return policy by the seller.

Shaft is freaking amazing, however the way the head curves the blade doesnt allow for a close shave (I am using it with another head).

Slick and handy! Safety edge never lets the razor touch your skin. That's something I am careful about when shaving. Easy to use with the long handle. Unscrew to clean and dry. Easy to pull apart and put together. Amazing feeling of efficiency. I have finally found the tool I have been looking for! OK is just for that person shaving frequently. I recommend this product to fellow shavers.

As another reviewer mentioned, what you get is not what you see in the photos in the product listing. First and foremost, the head of the razor is completely different than the photos. It looks like they put an Edwin Jagger head on their handle for the photo. Secondly, the nice looking Otto Kampfe/Brooklyn logo on the handle is nowhere to be found on the actual product; replaced by a small, almost illegible, cheap-looking logo. I contacted the seller to express my dissatisfaction with the misleading photos, and was told that they're trying to "improve their brand logo and designs". Great. Then change the photo to reflect the new design. Had the razor I received been pictured on the product listing, I never would have ordered it. My displeasure with the bait and switch notwithstanding, I decided to use the razor anyway (it was only $20), and was able to get a decent enough shave with it, using an Astra DE blade and Le Piment de la Vie soap from Catie's Bubbles. The handle is comfortable to use, but it's hard to get past the different head and ugly logo, since it was the look of the razor that attracted me to it. There are no shortage of safety razors in this price range, but this one had a unique appearance that I liked. Or so I thought. The seller responded quickly to my inquiry, and did offer a refund for the unused product, or a partial refund if it had been used (it hadn't at the point that I contacted them), but I didn't want a refund; I wanted the razor in the photo! I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this seller, or this product. Spend the extra $10 or so and get yourself an Edwin Jagger DE89.
