One of Razors best.
This was a Christmas gift for my 8 year old son. He loved it! It lights up from within the wheel when in motion. So cool! It's heavy and durable...which is good considering my 8 year old will be crashing it, letting it fall on the ground and surely mishandled like all toys. However, its equipped with a (hopefully utilized) kick stand. Didnt have one on mine when I was a kid, we just let it fall. This scooter can be folded in half and the handle bars pull out of the main vertical bar and become parallel with the deck. Yes, scooters have been storage and travel friendly for years. But this has been redesigned to be even more compact and given it's size, it's actually quite impressive. I definitely recommend this Razor.

Great Scooter
Great scooter! Been using Razor scooters for probably 10 years now. Can't think of anything bad about it. Extremely durable, lightweight, rolls really well. Only wish it was cheaper.

An excellent adult kick scooter
I bought this for scooting around the neighborhood with my 11 year old daughter, and enjoy it so much I take it out and loop around the block even when she doesn't want to go. I was originally keeping up with her on her older brother's original Razor with the small wheels (which is at least 13 years old and was heavily mistreated, left out in the rain, etc, but still works fine, a testament to Razor's durability), but got tired of the small wheels nearly coming to a stop and lurching me over the too-short handlebars every time I hit a crack or expansion seam in the street. I found the higher handlebars of the A5 Lux definitely make for a more comfortable upright posture, and the larger wheels make a world of difference in riding over cracks, while also making travel faster and less effortful. The footbrake also seems to work better on the larger wheels. The deck is nicely sized for my size 11.5 shoes, 5'10, 195 pound frame. The clever little kickstand also makes things easier, the scooter remains standing upright instead of having to be picked up off the ground, it's surprisingly stable. Also, the A5 doesn't seem to want to swing around and painfully bash into my ankles the way the original model does. All in all an excellent upgrade, and it's so much fun I don't care how silly I probably look as a 43 year old man on it, zipping up on it instead of driving to the little cafe-bakery at the front of the neighborhood on Saturday mornings.Note: I bought a heavily discounted one, because it supposedly had "major" cosmetic flaws, but I looked and looked, and couldn't find anything wrong with the one they shipped me.

Great scooter for college campus !! Great value too !!
I was looking for a lightweight scooter that my son to use around his college campus. Look at all the reviews of some of other brands like the Xootr, Exooter, Oxelo, etc.. But they were either too expensive (over $200) or too heavy (over 10 lbs). The A5 is less than 9 lbs and only $80.I initially looked at the Razor A6 since I liked the slightly bigger wheels. But then I noticed a folding design flaw that some readers reported that it has caused their handles to fold when riding (this happens if you don't tighten the folding screw hard enough). So with safety in mind, I chose the A5. It has a better fold/lock mechanism, cheaper than all of those mentioned before, and build with high quality. When you take it out of the box, you can tell that it is very sturdy and high quality. I feel very comfortable that my son can ride it, throws it around campus and it will still survive the everyday rigors. The locking mechanism is not 100% solid (has a little give) so it rattles a little when you move the handle. But when you put some weight on it, it is solid to ride on. I have been riding around the neighborhood the last week and it is very smooth and glide along the pavements just fine. I changed out the bearings with the Bones REDS Bearing and they made it even smoother.Definitely a good scooter and an even greater value at $80. Can't beat it !!

Great commuter scooter
I live about a half-mile from my work in a medium-sized city. It's a comfortable 10-15 minute walk (mostly because of traffic lights), but part of why I moved so close was to cut my commute down to as short a time as possible. A bike was the obvious choice, but the time I'd lose locking and unlocking it would eat away some of the time I saved, plus I'd have to store it out in the elements, plus I'd have to ride it in the street (in a city where cars don't really watch for bikes), plus it could always get stolen, so I decided to look into something a little smaller. Which made me think of the little Razor scooter I had as a kid, and the fact that I'd vaguely heard of people using them to commute, especially in urban areas. So I did some research and eventually ended up getting this beauty. For a short commute on flat sidewalks, it's a dream. A 10-minute walk becomes an easy 5-minute scoot, and I can just carry it in and stow it under my desk. If the weather is bad, I can leave it behind and walk or even take it in someone's car if I catch a ride with a coworker. It's perfectly portable. I'll say that I get quite a lot of strange looks on it, and lots of comments, but most people find it weird/quirky in a good way, and I always explain that, believe it or not, it was the most practical choice. It rides very smoothly, much moreso than my childhood one ever did, and you can really glide down any little hills. Uphill isn't too bad either. It's easily twice as fast as walking, while not taking significantly more effort. I switch legs sometimes so that I don't accidentally build the muscle unevenly. The only thing "wrong" with mine is that the lever you use to fold/unfold it sometimes seems to jam, but I could probably remedy that if I took the time and effort to find the problem and apply some WD-40. Other than that, I've had no issues with it. It's a great little thing, and I hope more people start using them, if only so I'll get fewer weird looks in the future.

Good option for taller kids
My 7 year old is a 97 to >99th% height kid who outgrew their other Razor scooter before their interest in scooters had passed. This fits them very well and is quite sturdy.
