Arducam Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F-Mount Lens to C-Mount CS-Mount Lens Adapter

Make a point to understand crop factor before buying!
Important: the release "button" is NOT a button! It slides away from the EF mount! I hope this saves you from a few moments of panic when it seems like you've destroyed a thousand dollar lens by jamming a cheesy adapter on it!This feels heavy. It is all metal, and the threads and EF mating surfaces of the main adapter are well machined. The C-CS extender adapter, however, feels a little cheaper, and it feels like there's a higher risk of cross threading it.Other than the not-button, that's it. That's the whole product. It successfully adapts two lens standards. Any more than that depends on your lenses and your cameras.I purchased this to be able to mount fancy lenses to the Mokose HD -- an industrial security camera-like device. I wanted to replace the 5-50mm it comes with for something easier to drive and maybe higher quality. But I totally misunderstood how much the crop factor was going to figure in.The 18-200mm Canon EF-S kit lens only barely worked, and with a pointlessly narrow field of view. The 55mm EF was no more usable to me.It is probably moot anyway, since I had no control over the iris of these lenses anyway. So, this is probably not going to meet my needs.Still, I'm keeping it in the kit, and I don't think it is a bad product. It still could come in handy to me some day.

Stuck on lens - UPDATED
Put adapter on a lens and now can’t remove it. Hopefully a camera shop can get it off so I can return it.UPDATE: Instruction video is INCORRECT. To remove you do not "push" the button. You must "pull" the button to release the adapter from the lens. I would give a higher rating but they have to update their instructions.

A great way to repurpose an unused Canon lens
I used this to mount a Canon lens to the Raspberry Pi HQ camera. The lens came with my Canon Rebel purchased 20 years ago. The machining on this piece is great, and the release button works perfectly if you pull on it, rather than push. Note that it’s necessary to figure out a way to support the lens in my scenario, as the RPi mount isn’t designed for larger lenses.

best adapter ever
I have not bought a product for a long time that I would be so happy with. The only drawback is the mounting method, i.e. a problem with the button that allows you to disconnect the adapter from the lens.
