Thank you so much
Thank you for the kefir grains. We waited for more than a month with this review to see how the grains behaved. They performed flawlessly. We would like to express our greatest appreciation to Living Kefir Grains company who produced and sent these grains. We appreciated that the grains could be used immediately with raw milk. We make kefir only with raw milk. The package arrived much earlier than indicated. There was an enormous amount of live kefir grains in the package. Other kefir grain sellers offer only a tiny amount, and it is often dried powder-like substance, which needs to be reconstitute over many days. These kefir grains accommodated to our kitchen environment and the milk in two days and began producing kefir. Since we have so many types of fermented foods in our menu, we consume only two cups of kefir a day. The amount of the kefir grain in the package was too much for just two cups of kefir, so we kept only about one tablespoon of it, and dehydrated the rest. Then we mixed the dehydrated kefir grains with a little milk powder, and then put them in a vacuum-sealed bag. Now we keep them in the freezer for future use.It is recommended not to use metal with kefir. However, we experienced that stainless steel is completely acceptable. We always put the kefir grains in a small ball-shaped tea infuser and put the ball in the pint-size mason jar with raw milk. We are doing this for almost two years, and it did not affect the fermentation at all. It is easy to take out the ball and transfer the kefir grains in another clean ball for the next batch. We use skim raw milk for kefir and yogurt, because we experienced that the cream at the top gets rancid easily, and we had to throw away. We have in our kitchen a milk separator machine for creating skim milk and gain raw heavy cream. We live in Washington State, and here, it is illegal for raw milk producing dairy farms to separate the milk, thus making skim raw milk and raw cream.Previously, we ordered dehydrated kefir grains from Cultures for Health. Their first batch lasted for more than a year, and then just deteriorated. We bought another packet, and it went bad in a few months. Another problem with the kefir grains from Cultures for Health was that we had to start with pasteurized milk and transition the grains to raw milk in four days. We never consume pasteurized milk, so we had to buy it just for this. It was so nice that we could use raw milk with these kefir grains right away. These grains produce milder kefir than our previous grains. This kefir also has an additional aroma, which hard to describe, but it tastes like if it had come from some very mild alcoholic fermentation.Thank you, Living Kefir Grains company.

The best grains
I bought my grains from the seller ermahamre after reading a ton of reviews to find the best seller to get them from. I've ordered grains through Amazon more than once. Some sellers are stingy with how much they send, send teeny tiny grains, or they're almost dead after shipping. This time I got two containers with nice size grains. They were still healthy and fresh after shipping and have quickly multiplied. It's the easiest time I've ever had getting kefir grains balanced and started up. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. If I ever need to order kefir grains again I will absolutely get them from this seller again.I included some photos. The containers look like little side dish containers you get from restaurants sometimes. They came crammed full of grains and double bagged. The dime on the lid is just so you can get an idea of the size of the containers and the grains. The other photo is just one of my grains being held up on a wooden spoon. I'm impressed by how huge it's gotten. There are plenty of smaller grains too. The strainer under it is full of grains and I've already had to get rid of some too. I've only had them for a month.

Great Raw Milk Grains
I liked this because I have a great raw milk source and needed grains that I could use immediately. I’ve had these grains 2 months now and they are going strong. I do wish there was more info about the person who is selling these grains and that they were better or more personal with their info about the grains and their history (perhaps) Also, the instructions came with these lengthy YouTube url’s that were a pain to plug in. Surely there is a faster way to get to those links or your ‘channel’ ... either way the grains are working just as I expected them to. Good job!!

these folks start out making a very good impression at the get-go
Man, these folks start out making a very good impression at the get-go. I fully expected a 1/4-cup of grains since that is what is advertised but when I opened the package there was obviously more than that. After the grains had been soaking for a few hours they had expanded to a bit more than a 1/2-cup.After a couple of days the grains are already making drinkable kefir. Based upon my experience they need another few weeks to get the sourness up to where I like it but these grains are doing well so far.

Plenty of grains
Grains do make Keifer fast. I personally prefer the taste of cultures for health 's Keifer taste from their dehydrated grains, but I am glad I tried these for comparison

Great & Worth The Price
Got off to a fast start with ample grains to make a good sized batch of Kefir.I have ordered kefir grains from other sellers on Amazon before & received such a small amountthat it was dreadfully tedious to grow them into enough grains for a worthwhile batch & gave up withthem. This seller quickly ships healthy grains that thrive & grow well. I am pleased it is so easy to make Kefir with these grains Thanks so much!!

very nice healthy grains
nice grains. that seem to have recovered quickly from any transportation shock. usps screwed up on delivery delaying it by 2 days put the grains into about 20 oz organic whole milk and they plumped up very nicely and the jar had a nice bread yeast odor when i opened the jar for the first time. i guess all is well in kefirville. second batch is organic whole milk a little 2% to finish off a half gallon and a small amount of half and half. we'l see tomorrow.
