Awesome book

I had an older ASA 5505 I needed to set up. Setting up the ASA 5505 is a pain, as the GUI in the older versions was just plain awful. With this book I was able to setup the ASA 5505 with a DSL modem in transparent bridge mode, and properly configure it. Some of the information is applicable to older versions of the software and not the newer, but it is still useful.

Das Buch trägt deutliche Gebrauchsspuren und ist nicht neu. Es war zwar verschweißt, das aber offensichtlich nach Gebrauch.Da ich so lange gewartet habe, verzichte ich auf eine Rückgabe.

Clear and concise, this book will walk any neophyte through configuring the ASA. It did for me!! I didn't have any prior knowledge of this device, and only basic firewall knowledge, but this help me set up a new device and configure port routing for a VPN. I've found myself referring to it for general firewall setup and procedure as well, and I will be using it for years to come.

It took some time to absorb the content in this book, but at the end i have a good opinion about the content.It could have been better in exploring many more scenarios, providing some more examples. but at the end it's worth reading.I wish someone could write a cookbook on ASA,IPS,CSM. the cookbook, is what real time people need or else a really big book with plenty of configuration examples will be worthwhile.
