Great DIY Price For A Necessary Tool
Does exactly what’s it’s made to do - detect voltage. Unlike my old one that stopped working, this one doesn’t have an on/off button, which means it’s always on stand-by? Regardless, no complaints. I won’t remove/replace a switch without this device.

This is a must have if you are doing anything electrical
If you are working on electrical, you want to be sure there is no juice going to what you are working on, you need this tool. In changing a fan, we thought we had the power off. It was off to the room, but not to the ceiling. I caught a little zap, but I am fine, other than the Einstein hair pointing straight up. Get a pen to test before you get zapped, not after like I did. This works perfectly, it is easy to us and accurate.

It takes 2 AAA batteries
The item works well - I knew it uses batteries but on the Amazon site- it doesn't tell what type or how many batteries it takes- then when I received it- IT STILL DIDN'T SAY WHAT BATTERIES OR HOW MANY ON IT'S PACKAGE! Newsflash= it takes 2- AAA batteries. Why wouldn't MR PEN list the type and number of batteries it takes??? I had to open it to find out!

Product came and was super easy to setup. It has a extremely sensitive pickup but definitely works to get the job done safely. Price is right as well.

I had trouble getting it apart to insert the batteries but that was probably from not enough strength in my hands. Once I had it set up I was very happy with it. I used it to make sure my mobility scooter charger was working ok. I really like this little tool and I'm sure I'll get a lot of use with it.
