I was very impressed by the quality of the plastic and coloring of these bugs. I have children from 4 to 11 years old in science classes. The bugs worked great for the lessons. I do want to note ... there are a few items that are not bugs, a scorpion and lizard. And this is also spiders and insects.I would definitely recommend these for any play time or classroom.

We bought these as party favors for a bug-themed birthday party. The critters are cool for kids, but the description was a little misleading. We bought a quantity of 120 pieces. A large percentage of the critters were lizards and snakes, which didn’t fit our theme. But the reptiles are pretty colors. I would just have liked to have seen more bugs and insects based on the listing description. The butterflies were really cool. Too bad there weren’t more of them.

I do really love these. However, I was dissapointed to see that instead of adding more insects they added a variety of snakes. My kids have a variety of mammals, reptiles, and amphibian figurines. I wanted them to have something unique, so I got them insects. Love the designs, especially the winged insects. But yeah, would have loved to see more variety of insects. Wish they's give you what's shown in the pictures. Also one butterfly is missing a body, it's just wings. And one ant is missing its wings. I'd purchase again if I knew I was getting more variety.
