Makes corners virtually effortless!
I have done quite a bit of drywall in my time. Honestly, I will fuss with corners quite a bit to get them perfect. I saw these on a YouTube video, and thought I would give them a try. Wow, am I impressed. I admit, they are a bit expensive, but time is valuable too, right? I had 11 corners to do, and I spent more time on the last one than I did the other 10 put together. So, too bad for me that they didn't come in an 11-pack. I will never drywall a room without these ever again, they are that good.

Excellent, but wish the mud-side was "rough" textured like paper tape!
I think these are great, and I've enjoyed using them for my corners compared to angle cutting all the regular tape. I would certainly buy them again and use them again. I don't know that they save a ton of time (they probably do) but the main thing for me is how much more "perfect" the corners are.The manufacturing of these is REALLY precise... The cut lines, the fold lines and where the thicker cardboard is laminated on, all very meticulously made and so when you origami them into the triangular shape, it is really "perfect"... (In fact, it makes obvious when your wall corners aren't all perfect 90's. It can easily accommodate corners like this, though, slightly off-angle corners don't mess up using these.)My one piece of constructive criticism is the cardboard/chipboard they use for the "body" of the pieces, the stiffener. The side that goes back to the wall, that gets the mud, is smooth COATED paper... It's very slick. This is a terrible surface for mud to adhere to! Even if it does adhere well (which it probably does) installing it is more complicated than it should be because this slick surface is slippy slidey in the wen mud as you're trying to wipe it out. It MOVES quite a bit and you have to keep working it back into the corner. The 1/2" or 3/4" perimeter is typical drywall tape, but 90% of the backside is that smooth cardboard. If they used chipboard with a more drywall tape-like rough texture to it, similar the the material all those flexible corner bead products use, I feel like it would "seat" into the wet mud a lot better, and not slide around as much as you're wiping it out. Also, I just would feel SO much better the bond strength and ultimate adhesion if it had the roughness of almost EVERY other mud-in product's paper. Even the composite materials on those flexible no-coat beads are roughened and feel like felt almost. Great for the mud to bond to. Since the triangular stiffeners on this IS a paperboard product, it seems like it would be fairly easy to use a paperboard that wasn't SLICK on the mud side.(Manufacturer: If you are reading this, and you tested it, and found that absolutely NOT to be the case, let me know... But I just can't see how a roughened surface wouldn't be better.)All that said, I will use these, even in their current form, for every 3-way corner I have that isn't going to be behind cabinets or something.
