12-Inch Stainless Steel Frozen Meat Bone Cutting Saw Blades for Reciprocating and Sawzall Saws - 5 Pack - Caliastro

Glad to have a few of these on hand for when i inevitably need! I purchased another Dewalt reciprocating saw to specifically use for meats, and a set of these. I harvest 3 hogs a year and take them to the local butcher where they cut em up to my specifications. I ended up having more "Whole Hams" than i wanted this year, and i usually get half of them pre cut into breakfast ham steaks. Apparently we eat a lot more hamsteaks than whole hams... So i needed to cut a frozen ham into steaks to keep up with my breakfast needs. I slightly thawed the ham in the fridge for a couple days and rigged up some clamps and boards to keep it in place during the cutting. These blades did their job and made quick work of sawing through frozen meat and bone! I used a single blade for an entire ham, and just tossed it after. I could've cleaned it and kept for future use, but these are a great value and i don't mind buying some more when i go through these in a year or so. I don't want to buy a bandsaw for meat as it takes up too much room the few times a year i could use it, so these blades and a dedicated reciprocating saw will do just fine!

These blades are awesome! They are Pro Butcher branded and made of food quality stainless steel. I had to section a 40 pound moose neck which was 12” thick by 18” deep and 16” long and frozen solid at -10 degrees F in my deep freezer. I made 2 cross cuts down through it to make it into 3 pieces that I can manage on my band saw. When I finished the blade still looked just like new and was still cutting like new. I’m going to give a few of them to my hunting buddies because I’ll never outlast 5 of them.

Top quality

While the teeth are overly aggressive for bone they did pretty good. My manual meat saw is still better as the finer blade is better for bone. These are more like tree pruning blades but work.

Of good quality, sharp and able to cut through most everything I’ve needed it to with ease.
