Firstly, the Philip Hue Lightstrip fitted perfectly into the bracket. So I was really happy with it. As for performance, the aluminum frame feels warm when in use so I guess the heat dissipation is working. As for the light diffusion, it is not a diffused as I had hoped for. You can see the photos below. Build quality or shipment issue, I don’t know but one of my bracket was damaged. It was ok because I had ordered spares. I will give 4 stars as I hoped for better diffusion and 1 damaged bracket.

Got this for my Philips Hue, easy to install, however as the span was 3600mm I needed more clips to ensure the channel remained straight / flush along the installation line. Looks amazing now :)

Built custom lighting for the inside of a china cabinet and safe. Worked like a champ and looks great. Does a great job diffusing light without making it too dim. Also, they are easy to cut down to custom sizes. Since they are aluminum, you can use anything from a hacksaw to a miter saw.

Philips lightstrip plus string lights fit snugly and sort of snap into place. The light filter does not make the lights look like neon or evenly dispersed, but it looks extremely professional and made my kitchen and hallway look amazing and gave me the freedom to use the smartest string lights on the market!I used a Dremel Rotary tool (7300 I believe) and a metal cutting bit to cut them to length with easy and I also used the metal grinder bit to give it a smooth edge.If you use a deeper version of this tray you will be more likely to get a more ‘neon’ look to your lights

Installed in the ceiling of our closet. Both my wife and I are very happy with the results.The Good:--The brightness is quite good for what I was looking for. Lots of light comes through.--The construction feels fairly sturdy while staying light in weight.The Cromulent:--Do not expect these to completely even out the light. If that's what you're looking for, you will NOT find it. That product does not exist. Certainly not at this price point.--Fits my Philips Hue light strip but I wouldn't say it's _perfect_. I just wanted it hung up and to help diffuse the light a bit. For my needs it works.The Bad:--The screws are made of the softest material I've ever come across. I thought the other reviewers were being overly critical. They must be using an impact driver, right? No. Even on the lowest torque setting and going slowly, it absolutely melted the screws. Atrocious. I wish the manufacturer would spend the extra $0.05 for good screws, good grief. Or just don't include them at all and drop the price.--Installing was a bit tricky. The screws just didn't want to hold. I'm an idiot for not getting proper drywall screws that would grab better. So that's probably on me. Don't be me, get the right screws for the job.--I wish they provided a couple of extra-wide snaps. Trying to align two of them perfectly was kind of a pain. Would have been nice to get a wider bracket so that it could hold two together in a line. Oh well. Not docking any stars for this.
