This is a great product for those who like to record their process of creating art/ or crafts. The lighting is great and holds your phone at adjustable angles.I noticed after a week of using it that there was a crack near the adjustable knobs and reached out to support about getting a replacement part. They ended up sending me an entirely new stand within a week of contacting them.

As described and looks robust enough to last for a long time.

I'm amending my original review as there have been some developments. Overall, this is an ok product. The main reason why rating this as 4 stars is that the iPhone holder doesn't support the weight of the phone very well and requires a lot of fiddling and reinforcements to stay in place. Second, the light doesn't come with a batter so it needs to be plugged in so it limits where i can use the tripod. Also, please note that the light has to be plugged directly into a wall socket for it to work. It won't charge if you try to use a dock connected to a laptop. The seller is very responsive to questions and will quickly address any issues.

I like how heavy this base is and how easy it is to position my phone at different angles. It works at all angles. The light it bright but I use another so my desk doesn't have shadows. My only beef is that it's USB, so I have to use a portable charger to make it work. I wish there was a plug option. Also the instructions are a bit bare so be aware of that.

Edit: the company promptly reached out to me and provided videos which solved both of these issues! There is a whole piece inside of the first tube that needs to be pulled out, and the light needs to be mounted a certain way to allow tilting. Changing my review to reflect the customer service I received to help solve my issues!No instructions in English. After wasting a ton of time, realized the issue wasn’t me, but the equipment. I don’t know if a piece is missing or if the design is faulty but these pieces don’t connect (photo shows the step I was on and the pieces I was supposed to magically connect). And the ring light on top doesn’t tilt at all, it stays locked upright facing forward! It’s comical, because there is a joint, but it screws into the upright pole and cannot tilt. So there’s no way to turn it downward to face what you’re filming.

I have only used this a handful of times. The Part that holds the arm crumbled and fell apart. Plastic junk.

It's a tricky one to get together, lots of tugging and pushing to figure out how pieces fit together, but it didn't take too long to put together. It's perfectly functional and the light is great (except the strobe feature - YIKES) but one of the supports on the bottom legs came BROKEN and the whole thing cannot function, the legs just fold back up and it topples over. Very disappointed, as all of the other functions work perfectly but it can't be used if it can't stand up.

I was very surprised by the quality and ability of this unit. Light works great and has several different shade options to ensure you get the perfect amount of light. You cannot beat this product if you are trying to photograph items and list them for sale. The adjustable phone holder makes it componle with a ton of different phones.

Can’t use it for horizontal shoots

This ring light / phone holder is really really good for what it cost. My wife is quite prolific on Fb with cooking videos and this has made things so much easier. However, like a number of people on here, I couldn't get the ring light to work to start with. I was using a high power USB C power brick and the light wouldn't work even though the brick and lead fast charged my phone with no issues. Rather than give up, I tried a USB A to C lead in a standard 2.1amp brick and it worked absolutely fine. So if yours isn't working, just try a different brick and lead.

I was somewhat apprehensive after reading some of the other views, but I bought it anyway. I was easily able to assemble it in under 10 minutes. The instructions weren't really necessary - it's kinda intuitive. I've used it quite a lot and haven't had any problems with it holding my phone (Samsung A51). I knew it would need to be plugged in to use when I bought it. That hasn't been a problem, but I have had to buy a USB plug for it and I usually use an extension cord as well as the cord isn't as long as I need. I only need the white light, so I haven't used the other ones. I'm not doing anything fancy with it. It just helps me to take better quality photos without shadows.
