Scissor skills
Got this activity book for my soon to be kindergartner. Home since March and didn't get to finish pre-k, so I was looking for something that wasn't too advanced for beginners. This book has turned out to be more than I thought--in a good way!! There is a HUGE introduction section that is quite wonderful. It goes over why having these fine motor skills is good for development, as well as activities to keep doing. It was nice considering we have such a huge gap to fill before kindergarten. The activities themselves have very clear instructions and tips as you go. They start out simple and get more advanced; they tell a story as you go, which is great. The pages are nicely perforated (pictured). I am very glad I purchased this. My son who doesn't have much skills using scissors when we started has become more confident just a few pages in. If your child is just starting out, no matter their age, this book is great and seems to grow with them. Highly recommend.

Great Quality and Variety
Pages are thick and perforated. The book focuses mostly on cutting different types of curved and straight lines, but also includes counting to 10, shapes, and the alphabet. Thereโs even a weather bear with different clothing, like a paper doll. My child loved the bright vivid colors! The book also has additional activity suggestions, developmental check lists, and tons of background information for parents. The book says ages 3+, and I think itโs pretty accurate. My daughter is 5 and pretty experienced with cutting and pasting and she still enjoyed the book. Even though some of the activities were easy for her, she still seemed excited to complete them.

Highly Recommend
I am so glad I bought this book. Don't hesitate, just order it. It's full of various cut and paste activities, much more than other books I've purchased for the same amount of money. I'm a full time teacher (teens). When I visit my 4 and 5 year old grandchildren, I bring my tote bags full of fun (crayons, scissors, glue sticks, games, puzzles, flash cards, books, et al). They love cut & paste activities and have already gone through several books these past 18 months (since I started them on scissors). This book has all sorts of 'next level' as well as beginner cut & paste activities. Now that they have refined their cutting skills in prior books, they are ready for more and can do more which this book provides. For example, we played 'take nana to lunch' with the pizza and dollar cut outs. They cut out the tray, the slices, toppings, and dollars (all circles and straight lines), so we can order what we wanted. We role played and practiced counting. If your child is new to cutting, there are some activities with just straight lines. But I would give them some time on other beginner books first and save this book once they get time to practice on others.

Helps to focus a preschoolerโs obsession with scissors
When the COVID quarantine began, my preschooler (then 4 years old) found every opportunity to cut things when I wasnโt paying attention (she cut her hair 3 times). We had to hide every pair of scissors. This activity book helped to focus her desires for cutting in a fun, educational way. She does at least 5 pages a week. Not only does she get to cut and paste, but there are fun activities that she can do with the final products that often leads to more imaginative play. I would highly recommend this book!

So much fun, my daughter loves it!
My 4 yo really enjoys cutting activities and finished the book I previously had for her so I picked this one up and I am very impressed. Great parent section in the beginning of the book that gives teaching/development info and ideas for helping your child grown and learn. Nice thick book with lots of colorful and fun activities. She wants to do this one all the time. A very fun book to help them work on those cutting skills and fine motor skills!

Variety of Easy Preschool Activities
Iโve been teaching preschoolers for years and find these to be particularly engaging for little ones: *easy enough for preschoolers to understand how to do once theyโve been given instructions *challenging enough to keep them engaged and learning without frustration *educational, but can be used as rewards *craft time without mess! *a wide variety of themes keeps them wondering what the next one will be!
