After years of using the original mount for my Tom Tom, it finally gave up. So I bought this as a replacement. The good: The suction cup attachment works well, and actually takes some effort to lock it down, which is good, considering the original mount would vibrate itself loose after awhile. The "hoop" that the GPS fits into actually seems to hold it better than the original bracket. Now, the not so good: The ball and socket attachment point is extremely loose. The ball is undersized to the socket, so even if you crank down on the screws that attach the pieces together, it is still not enough to prevent the bracket from wobbling around, and not staying put. That was one of the parts on my original bracket that still worked well. I tried to combine the old and new to make a good working bracket, but the ball and socket just would not fit tight enough together. For what it cost, I decided to modify the new bracket a bit to make the fit tighter. I took a dremel with a sanding drum, and sanded a bit off the top and bottom clamp pieces that form the socket. So now, even though the ball is undersized, the socket can clamp down more on it, and it seems to be working well so far. Had to sand and test fit a few times to make sure I didn't take too much material out. Its just ABS plastic, and is relatively soft, so be careful if you have to modify yours to fit better. It works, but be forewarned that you might have to deal with a similar socket fitment issue.

Garbage. Could not get it to turn from unlock to lock. When it did turn something snapped or broke. Never could get it to work again. Would have sent it back but I had already tossed the packaging. Ordered a new one from a different vendor. Hope this one works. I do not recommend buying from this supplier.

Hasn't fallen off my windshield at all and the suction is great!
