I broke my measuring cup and wanted one just like the one I broke. I was able to find it on Amazon and couldn’t be happier. It’s heavy glass, which, when the last one broke, it broke into big chunks, which was an easy cleanup. I had that measuring cup for more than 10 years.

I like this Pyrex Measuring Cup for several reasons. First, it is made of glass so you can see inside it. Second, the red measuring graphics are easy to read. Third, it is thick glass which is less likely to break, although I did manage to finally break my first cup like this. I used it almost daily and it took 18 years to break, so you do the math there for its durability. Fourth, it is a Pyrex. I like the quality of Pryex. It costs a smidge more but it is worth it. Quality item. Fifth, a glass measuring cup should be a necessary item in every kitchen.

The only reason I needed a new one is all the lettering finally wore off. I use this for measuring everything. Quite a product for little cost. I buy this brand in everything glass when i can. I like the thickness of this Pyrex measuring glass; it's much more durable the the thin measuring glass I had that cracked when I bumped it on something. I like the 2 cup size - big enough for everything I want to measure and a good size to be able to tuck out of the way in a cupboard or on a shelf when I'm not using it. The measures are in ml, cups and ounces - useful for whatever recipes measure in. The handle is strong Pyrex like the measuring glass, and makes it easy to pick up. The price was just a little more than the thin glass ones, but this one will last so much longer.

I bought this to replace my other one that I accidentally knocked off the counter and shattered. I would like to say I loved it and I do like it but I loved my other one this one is just different enough from the original I had that I loved to make me a little sad my other one broke. If it's the first one you are buying you won't know any different and pyrex makes a good product and it is reasonably priced. I just wish I could have the same as my old one. Measurements are accurate.
