BrandmotionRadar Blind Spot System with Cross Traffic Detection RDBS-1500 | Seamless Integration | Lane Change Assist | 40ft Range Radar | Audible/Visual Driver Alert for Vehicles 2007 and Newer

I have installed 2 RDBS-1500 on two 2006 Volvo's. They made my 2006 cars much safer and updated. The system works wonders during lane change and specially at night when you cant really see darker colored vehicles sneak up from the sides. The reverse cross-traffic is a very very very important safety feature, It works fine too, but I just wish it had better pickup range.

This is an excellent radar based blind spot plus cross traffic alert system with limitations. If your vehicle speed is below 15-mile, this does not work. If there is static object, then this doesn’t work. Both limitations are listed in their product description. Apart from this, it is OEM quality. I have been using it for last 1 month it is working perfectly, no false alarm. Cross traffic alert system works brilliantly in busy parking lot.Things to improve:Brandmotion’s product support. It requires professional installation and most of the dealers listed in brandmotion’s website doesn’t have any clue about this product and its installation process. I have contacted brandmotion’s support twice and they said they will send updated dealer list, which I never received. If brandmotion somehow overcomes the product’s current limitation and improve its customer support, it will be hot selling item.Advice for future buyers:It requires professional installation. It is hard to find shop which has experience on this. The shop which installed it in my car, they have done it at least in another 25 cars last 2 years and all of them is working perfectly. So, always check with the shop’s beforehand.

I like it as it provides additional safety for lane changes etc. The detection works well, so far no false detections. I think the biggest point I could make it expert installation, definitely not DYI unless you have the experience.Very Satisfied, well worth the money.

It was a frustrating experience to buy this unit by paying close to $700.I had it installed by a reputed dealer (the one listed by Brandmotion as authorized) and it did not work. The dealer spent over 2 hours trying to fix it and their answer was that it is either defective or you have the wrong set of instructions.It was frustrating to get it installed and I spent over $500 in installation and returning the item back to Amazon. Thanks Amazon, but brandmotion is someone whom you should not deal with. Their prducts are expensive and pathetic, support is even worse.

Highly recommended unit. I had previously had a Echomaster blind spot unit installed in my 2012 Toyota highlander but that Echomaster unit was total garbage and never worked properly (and even more expensive than this Brandmotion) so I replaced that poorly functioning Echomater Blind spot unit with this Brandmotion. WOW what a difference. This Brandmotion is flawless. It works excellent with zero false alerts. This Brandmotion unit is very accurate and is near OEM accuracy and quality. Highly recommended. This Brandmotion unit also has very very bright LED indicators that are 100% visible when they light up even in bright direct sunlight during daytime. And this Brandmotion unit also has a short single audio beep tone to let you know there is someone in your blind spot using an audio alert if you are signaling to begin a lane change. This unit is so well engineered. I did not install this unit, but instead had a qualified car stereo alarm shop do the install. They charged me $500 since it took about 5 hours in total. The key to proper installation is to make sure the sensors are properly aligned as per directions. I highly recommend this unit. It really work as well as the OEM factory unit that came in my wife's 2020 Lincoln. It's that good.
