Great Value for Money!
I bought this soundbar to replace a dying Roku soundbar in the master bedroom. Since that TV isn't our main television, I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a soundbar for the TV that only is used a couple of hours a week. I bought a Vizio TV for that bedroom to replace an old Sony and was very impressed with the quality of the TV as well as a WELL thought-out design in the software, so I decided to give the same brand a chance with the soundbar. I wasn't disappointed! Setup took less than 10 minutes and it was up and running. After adjusting the bass and treble, I found the sound to be quite good from such a small soundbar without a subwoofer. I connected it to the television using a digital/optical cable which, IMHO, is always preferable to an analog audio cable. This little soundbar is packed with options and tweaks. I AM an audiophile and very demanding for my audio equipment. However, I think that this soundbar is perfect for a guest bedroom OR for anyone on a budget. The sound quality is great. You can also connect auxiliary devices to it (i.e., game console, CD player, etc) AND it will connect to Bluetooth devices as well. If I had to criticize anything, I think that they could have done better with the "quick setup" guide instructions. When I first powered up, the soundbar stated that it was searching for an input device and to turn on my TV. It wasn't until I used the included remote to switch inputs to "Digital/Optical" that I was able to connect to the TV. This is a very MINOR complaint. Otherwise, I'm totally satisfied. A++++

Good Soundbar
for the price this thing works and sounds fantastic! setup was very simple, just plug in and set the tv the to correct setting and it worked. would definitely recommend using it with an optical cable if you are hooking it up to tv though. i originally tried just using the rca cable and the sound wasn't very good, got an optical cable the next day and it was totally different, much louder and clearer. also it does not hook up to Bluetooth through a tv, that was how i was originally planning on using it but my tv would not find it as a speaker when searching (maybe soundbars and TV's together just don't hook up that way, i don't know?) found my phone no problem though so BT was definitely working. overall if you are looking for an inexpensive way to upgrade from your tvs speakers this is a solid option.

Works well has issues
EDIT: A significant problem is when playing music where that has a lot of space or significant dynamic range with points of low (but not zero) volume level, the soundbar will mute itself completely and not unmute until the level rises. I have verified that this has nothing to to do with the cables and happens on aux input most frequently. This is a rather irksome design flaw. VIZIO 2.0 Home Theater Sound Bar - SB2020n-J6 20" version. For me, this sound bar works much better than most others at over twice the price. It is clear, plenty loud and the DTS gives a very wide soundstage. It fits perfectly under a monitor. It has an adequate remote control that allows for selecting the source, the general EQ contours (theater, music, gaming, etc.), treble, bass and volume, DTS and TrueVolume. It has top mounted controls as well. The remote control settings are mostly cyclic with audible messages (male voice, English) detailing the setting choices made. It flashes a few LED's to indicate the source. The audible messages are OK but I'd rather not have them and prefer that there be consistent positive visual feedback by temporary LED indications. I guess that there is less product cost to program in a voice than to add such LED's. In retrospect it was a reasonable design/value choice. For inputs it has Aux, Optical and Bluetooth that all work perfectly with no problem pairing Bluetooth. The sound quality is essentially identical on all the inputs (not so for many other soundbars). It has an RCA output to drive a subwoofer. There are a few cons. It does not have HDMI though for me, this is moot, I am using it with a game rig, my graphics card has only one HDMI port which is version 2.1 that I use for the monitor video input. Considering the video bandwidth advantage of the HDMI 2.1 port over DP, in my case, the HDMI port would be wasted on audio. YMMV. Another minor problem is it doesn't have a lot of bass and really needs a powered subwoofer, but I have used and tried many sound bars and every one has needed a subwoofer. Since this soundbar doesn't try to be a subwoofer, it blends well with a quality sub. It results in very seamless transitions and adds a lot of punch which is great for gaming as well as listening to music or watching videos. A significant problem is when playing music where that has a lot of space or significant dynamic range with points of low (but not zero) volume level, the soundbar will mute itself completely and unmute when the level rises. I have verified that this has nothing to to do with the cables and happens on aux input most frequently. This is rather irksome. You may not notice this if you tend to play the bar loudly. Except for the annoying muting problem, this sound bar is well worth the $78US I paid for it -- a steal, especially for the high quality sound and small size. It easily fits it on my cluttered gaming/work desk (you can hardly tell that it's there). I am very glad that I ignored the haters and tried it, it works and sounds much better than might be expected for the price, the savings gave me a little more slack to buy a higher quality sub (which will be needed).

Difficult setup but amazing sound
Firstly, this soundbar has amazing sound. I was listening to music via Bluetooth, and heard a song from like 1998 that I've listened to dozens of times and I heard things I had never noticed before. I had a hard time setting this up and I'm pretty tech savvy. I'll include some tips that helped me. I have a Hisense Google TV and wanted to use the RCA connection (the soundbar includes an audio cable with RCA on one end and 3.5mm on the other). The TV has one set of RCA jacks but I did not know until today that they are A/V IN jacks (not out). I think that's dumb but I can't change it. Luckily, the soundbar also included an adapter just for this scenario. It turns RCA into 3.5mm, and the TV has a 3.5mm out jack. One other alternative would be to have just a 3.5mm cord. I'm editing this review to add that the 3.5mm cord plus adapter was causing the audio to drop. I decided to switch to optical and haven't had any problems with that. After that, it still wasn't working. I thought of trying to turn up the volume and that did it. I had to fiddle with the TV and soundbar volumes until they were both kind of in the middle because at first one of them was up all the way and giving me a warning about loud volume. Just a note about Bluetooth: the soundbar connected fine via Bluetooth, but there was an audio delay when I used Chromecast to play video on the TV. I cast video from my phone almost all the time because for me it's easier to control. The cast video doesn't have an audio delay when it's connected via a cable. I actually tried a different soundbar a couple weeks ago with Bluetooth and it did the same thing. So I think that's something that needs to be fixed across the board. The soundbar is substantial and fairly heavy. I'm happy with it now that I was able to connect it. I also like that I can disable the auto-shut off.

Good sound, but has very annoying drawbacks
Sound is good, has Virtual surround sound options and such. Connectivity is good i have it connected to my bluetooth. The major problem though after months of use that makes me want to return it but its too late, is you will always, constantly be turning this stupid speaker back on. After couple mins or so it will shut it self off if theres no sound, so I have to reconnected it back on bluetooth. I do this about 10 times a day Not even exaggerating, I'm constantly pushing the bluetooth button on the soundbar or on my remote. It is annoying as f**. I use mainly bluetooth so not sure if it'll auto shut off on other connections. also if there is no sound for couple min, and something comes through it, it will slowly ramp up the volume over a second or two. I guess they do this so you won't get shock by some sound coming out of nowhere but if you have this connected to like a pc, and your comp will play a quick alert sound, you may not even hear it. also there is noticeable lag on bluetooth, maybe half a second or so. You get used to it but it is there. I can't complain about the sound quality, it is good but that major drawback of it shutting itself off, and I'm constantly reconnecting it throughout the day is a deal killer. Cannot recommend. **Update: so its been a good 6months of using this, I found out that you can turn off the auto off feature so I don't have to deal with the issue of it turning itself off every 5min. The only annoying thing is if you are using this with a PC when the computer makes a quick alert sound or a beep you won't hear it. When the speaker get some sound it will slowly ramp up the volume, i guess they do that so you won't get startled. But this will basically 'mute' any quick alerts or beeps on your pc.

Loud, Versatile, and Crisp sound
This product was purchased to pair with my home theatre system, as the sound system we had in place just didn’t fit our needs. Upon unboxing it was secure in its packing and easily accessible. It was packaged comfortably with everything kept together and tidy. The sound is amazing for the price. It is still a budget sound bar, so don’t expect concert level audio, but for a home theatre system it does everything I expect it too wonderfully. It has powerful bass that can shake my home, although I keep it at a lower level for less punchy audio. It has many different audio modes for increased compatibility for multiple uses, and the remote is easily understood. I especially appreciate the quick tuning buttons to access audio modes quickly without having to cycle through them all. When you change audio modes it announces the mode you’ve toggled into, so you don’t have to look at the speaker. It pairs with my projector and FireStick so I don’t have to use 3 different remotes. The sound clarity is excellent delivering audio effectively and beautifully, and it gets very loud. I use it when I’m cleaning to play music throughout my house and I can hear it loudly in every room. The lighting fades away after changing a setting so it doesn’t disturb the room ambiance for night time viewing, and the versatility it offers with its many audio formats is very useful.

Perfect computer sound bar
During a recent desk rebuild I was in need of new speakers. I was replacing an older pair of Logitech speakers that took up too much real estate on my desk so a sound bar was more of what I was looking for. I tried multiple variations from different brands, all sounding too flat/ muddy or too tinny with no mid range or lows. Finally, I received this one from Vizio and did a side-by-side comparison with some of the other top contenders I was considering. I listened to audio books for dialogue (since I’ll be using it for Zoom calls), I listened to various genres of music and I watched a few movie trailers as tests for each speaker. In the end, it was hands down the Vizio. Not only does the size and look fit perfectly on my desk between my laptop and my 24 inch monitor but the speaker had the best treble, mid range and lows out of the six different speakers I compared. This thing won’t blow you away with bass, but it’s enough that you can hear the lower frequencies in the music, unlike many of the others I listened to. It has a subwoofer output for a powered sub, if more bass is what you’re looking for. None of the other speakers I looked even had that option. This thing will primarily be used for conference calls with occasional music while I’m working, but it fits my needs and what I’m looking for. It has that sweet spot. Like I said, I compared it to several other brands and this was my pick. There’s plenty of YouTube videos on it as well. Granted you can’t hear the audio as well through your phone or tablet speakers, but you’ll have to take my word for it…it’s great!

Great sound BUT
Sounds quality is awesome but lacks eARC connection. Using digital audio cable creates a slight delay in picture/sound sync

Received soundbar with US specification
It was very disappointing to see that the product is of US specification (120V ) and the plug does not fit in the UK sockets. The worst part is that the return is of the US address and it costs me a lot. I just hope that Amazon might return the postage cost. Please check before you buy
