Mitch and Paige - 5 plus plus stars
This is book 6 in the Boys of the Bayou series but it’s also a series cross over with the Hot Cakes series. Mitch is from Autre, Louisiana, a tiny town on the bayou where he does general repair and anything else his family needs for the Boys of the Bayou swamp boat tour company owned by his cousins (Boys of the Bayou series). Mitch likes being behind the scenes taking care of things and being whatever people need. He does not ask for things or call attention to himself. His father always told him “Be helpful, be grateful, make yourself useful, make them glad to have you around” and that’s his life motto. Paige owns a yoga studio/cat adoption center cafe in small town Appleby, Iowa (Sweet Cakes series). Paige is not interested in forever despite her interfering family and being proposed to five times. Paige does not do commitments or promises to avoid her guilt and other’s disappointment. Six months ago Mitch and Paige had a one night stand while he was in Iowa with his cousin and his cousin’s fiancée and they had another one night stand when Mitch came back into town to visit Paige. Paige has agreed to visit Mitch in Autre to be his date for his cousin wedding to Tori. This is where our story starts - Paige just got proposed to again at her sister’s wedding and she decides she is going to run away to Autre three weeks early - without telling Mitch - with 5 of her cats in order to get away from all the Appleby folks who want her married off and the Appleby men who keep proposing to her. In order to get to their HEA, Mitch and Paige each have to do some growing individually and learning to deal with stuff about commitment, asking for what they need, and deciding who they want to be. The story has plenty of hilarity, steamy scenes, sweet moments, and small town goodness and, like all of the stories in this series, it is filled with loud, larger than life characters and situations, simmering and overwhelming feelings, and so many cute animals, all wrapped up in so much heart squeezing love. It is so much fun to get immersed in the insanity that is Autre and its inhabitants, that it is really sad to finish the book and have to leave that fun world behind. Erin Nicholas excels at creating beautiful, rich, loving and fun small towns populated by secondary characters who enhance the main love story rather than crowding or detracting from it and Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour is further proof of her absolute mastery. I cannot wait to see what is next for the rest of the Landry family in the new series - Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild.

Mitch and Paige might just be my favorite bayou story!!!
Mitch and Paige might just be my favorite bayou story.Paige Asher is a young, commitment phobic cat lover. She has been proposed to 4 times, accepting only once but calling off the wedding a few weeks prior. This devastated her mother as the man she was engaged to was the son of her mother’s best friend. Paige poured herself into her yoga studio/cat café. She felt everything her family did or asked of her was a personal attack on her. Her older sister asking her to help with her niece and nephew’s school projects? Were they trying to push her into having children? Having dinner with her sister and brother-in-law? Were they trying to pressure her into getting married? Paige did everything she could to close herself off, especially her heart.Mitch Landry is a hard-working bayou boy. He is the resident handy man helping wherever he is needed but preferring to stay in the shadows. Mitch does not want praise for anything he does, he just wants to help everyone. He seems to put the needs of his family far before his own needs. He was raised by a single father who relied on family help while he was working. He ingrained in Mitch’s head to always help, do not be a bother, make people enjoy having you around. Mitch took this to heart. When Josh and Tori need help moving Tori’s animals from Iowa to the bayou, of course Mitch would help. That is when he meets Paige…over the back end of an alpaca. In true Landry fashion, it is love at first sight…at least for Mitch. They have a hot, steamy one-night stand. Well, it was supposed to be a one stand until Mitch returns to Appleby, Iowa, saves the day and invites Paige to visit him in Autre, Louisiana.Paige is at her sister’s wedding when she receives marriage proposal number 5. She just can not take it anymore. She packs up her car, and 5 cats, heading for Autre, Louisiana…without telling anyone. She arrives in Louisiana, surprising Mitch. This is where the Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour really begins. This is a story of a woman falling in love with a town and a family before she can admit she is in love with the man who brought her to this town. Paige finds her purpose, herself and opens herself up to love. Mitch learns to start putting himself first, going after what he wants.Another fantastic story by Erin Nicholas. Though this book is a standalone, reading the previous books in this series will give you a better appreciation of this story and help you fall in love with Autre, Louisiana even more.

loved it
Loved this addition to The Boys of the Bayou series. Paige & Mitch are the perfect combination of chemistry & fun. Author Erin Nicholas has written a wonderful story about love knocking on the heart when you least expect it. Loved seeing all the Landry’s again. Definitely recommend.

Good read
All the wedding stuff was so great. It was nice to see everyone growing together as couples. I’m happy Mitch asked for what he wanted at the end. Can’t wait to go onto the next series.

I couldn’t get enough of this pair....
Lordy, Lordy..... if I thought Mitch Landry was hot in Oh, Fudge I was seriously underestimating the guy!! Everything about him is adorable, except maybe his dirty talking... yeah, that’s something else! ;)I couldn’t get enough of this pair. Following Mitch’s visit and a fifth... yeah a FIFTH out of the blue proposal, Paige Asher decides to take him up on his offer of a place to escape to. She figures a pit stop in Autre, Louisiana on her way to the next chapter of her life will let her escape the craziness in Appleby, spend a little fun time with Mitch and clear her mind. What she didn’t bargain on was Mr Landry on his own turf!!!Mitch knew what and who he wanted, he also knew what not to say to give himself a chance to get Paige to see that he was exactly what she needed.Only thing is, will his crazy family, who are always trying to pair folk off scare her away before he has a chance to win her over?I loved how off kilter Mitch had Paige. How well she integrated into the coming and goings in the Bayou, how she fit in with his friends and family and how Paige eventually herself worked out exactly hat she wanted!!An excellent read from Erin Nicholas. Her books are some of my favourite reads and I cannot wait to find out what’s next down on the Bayou.

Love MITCH and Paige's Road to discovery of selfs
Loved the continuation of Mitch and Paige's story. I love how alive the characters are and the slight bringing together of Appleby family and the Bayou craziness. As I love both series dearly I loved this link and insight not only into the 2 main characters of this specific book but the continuation glimpses of previous main characters. I am always wondering where each character progresses too so love series like this. Can not wait for Boys of Bayou gone wild series.
