The Art of Lenormand Reading - Decoding the powerful messages conveyed by the Lenormand oracle Paperback – December 29, 2016

I'm a Tarot reader who wanted to learn another divination system, and chose Lenormand. I have a lot of books on Lenormand, most of which I never finished. That's because they were too dry, too detailed, had too many overwhelming charts or lists I felt I had to memorize...or else, on the other end of the spectrum, they were too simplistic and general. So I was stuck between extreme overkill and extreme generalities. And so I wondered if I even liked Lenormand, if I really wanted to bother learning it.Then I came upon this book, which I'd never heard of before. Based on the positive reviews, I bought it. This is the FIRST Lenormand book I've read all the way through! Why? Because it was written in an engaging style, gave enough information without bogging me down in overwhelming detail, was well organized into manageable sections, and really made me feel I COULD read Lenormand after all, and actually enjoy it instead of feeling like it was a huge project.There are a few places where I'd have liked more information. For example, there isn't much focus on how to read one card in relation to another (that is, reading the card on the left as a noun and reading the card to its right as an adjective). The author seemed to be pretty flexible in that, which could get confusing. And there were a few typos or grammatical errors that caused a little confusion, such as on the page on Knighting. But these are not a big deal and don't prevent me from loving the book. It covers a LOT but does so in such a clear way that makes it easy. I won't be bothering with my other books any more. Anything extra I learn along the way, I'll just add to the margins of this book.The only thing you need besides this book and a Lenormand deck is practice. No book can replace that. But with this book in hand you will have plenty of clearly laid out steps to guide you. I really liked the author's manner of writing and personality that shines through the pages. Too bad his YouTube channel is in French!

I love I love I love I love

Wonderful way to learn the cards -- it seems to me the author put his very generous heart & soul in this! Love the way he explains everything, love the combinations, & most of all the Archangels. Funny, because I'd never really thought about this last very much. After the 3 & then 5 card readings kept hitting home, it got a soothing meditative thing going during some stessful times - even though some of the cards were/are about warnings - & went from there. I looked for cards with the angels right on them, which I couldn't find, but did find an app where you can add user meanings to each card. There are actually many apps where you can do that, I just picked my favorite. So am having fun with that, little bit at a time.

After reading a few other popular books on Lenormand, thankfully I finally found this one that had everything I was looking for. This is my favorite.

My print on demand book had errors, a repeated definition for two different cards, thus leaving me without the correct definition for a few cards in the book. I love his book, chalked full of information, easy to use and understand. Lucky for me a friends copy had the definitions she shared that I wrote by hand into my book. Our page numbers didn't even agree what's up with that? I know nothing in life is perfect but missing information that should be there and not repeated exactly word for word into the next paragraphed item.

This is an excellent book that will start you out as a ZERO (knowing nothing) to a hero (that understands the French Lenormand system of reading. This book comes complete with exercises and examples. This is why he wrote a book to go with the cards. A simple insert wouldn't have been useful. Yes, I got the cards too. I love my Amazon credit card. I get so much free stuff with my points.

This was the first book I purchased to learn Lenormand with and I still use it daily. It is well written, full of pertinent information and a constant companion for this reader. I love this book.

This is a great book with combinations, meaning, individual areas like time, person description, zodiac. It was fun to try new methods to read the cards and clearing prayer for the cards was very effective. It is well structured and it is easy to find the information needed. I enjoy learning the cards with this book. I would recommend it.
