This thing is awesome, I bought my boat and had it for 2 years with a non functioning tach. It's an Evinrude, so of course it runs WOT almost all the time, but its nice to see what that is finally !!!

My system check had went out for my 2004 Johnson 115 and this unit fit right in and done the job in my Pro Gator DV170, although the face plate was a little different it was a perfect fit.

My search was for an MWS tach that would work with 2009 Evinrude Tech motor and this tach was one of the search results. It turns out that this tach is designed to work with the predecessor to MWS which is called "System Check". I will try to return and get an MWS tach. other than that - looks to be a quality product.
