I purchased these items for use with my stereo loudspeakers. Although not specifically for this model, an article in the audio press suggested the use of gliders rather than spikes for this application. These met the desired criteria and are inexpensive enough to try them out without buyer's remorse. Not 'sexy looking,' (who focuses on the foundation rather than the music, anyway?) but functional and works as desired. The PTFE (Teflon®) bottom allows effortless positioning of my large speakers for fine-tuning their placement. Previous reviews mentioned the threads being either rough or the wrong size; there was no issue with that at all. The ¼-20 threads were well cut with no burrs and threaded easily into the existing receptacles on the speaker bottoms. Perhaps not 'exciting' enough visually for audiophile braggadocio, their very reasonable price and quality make them more than suitable for my application or any other similar use.

These work well and allow my tables to slide across the shop floor. They are really good, except the part that screws into the wood. This part is not really bad, but the metal is soft and they are difficult to drive into hardwood. The closest drill bit that I could fine was just a little too tight. I am wondering if I needed a metric bit. Would have been good if they included a cheap bit. Since the metal is a little soft I had to really push down to drive them in or else the wench slot would strip out. The soft metal also makes removing the part from the wood very difficult, if an adjustment needs to be made. I am giving 5 stars, because I think they should be 4.5 stars.

Yeah these are good! I’ve used them a couple of times for lighter-duty furniture leveling. I use them on outdoor wooden art easels that get used all day everyday at a business. So they tolerate being moved about and adjusted quite a lot and put away every night, and after a couple of years no problems. I might get something bigger if I were leveling, say, a couch.

I used them to create a leveling table for craft work. Installing the threaded inserts was a challenge when trying to keep them at 990 degrees. Other than that, they work well.

I used a 11/32" bit instead of the 3/8, as my wood was a bit soft

Perfect! These were just what I needed to complete a project that I want to get done soon... Item as described. All of the pieces where there, properly sized and all the threads were cut correctly and fit together as they should :)

These 1” levels worked great for my cherry wood project. These were inserted in the 3/4” edge of the cabinet. I had been looking for a while to find small enough leveler feet that would fit the 3/4” wood edge. At first, I was going to use t-nuts but after testing the inserts on some scrap wood I decided to use the included threaded inserts. I drilled a few hole sizes in some scrap 3/4” wood to find which I thought was the best size hole for the threaded inserts. I tested on 3/4” pine and cherry. For pine, I thought 23/64” drill worked well though 3/8” was fine too. For hardwood like cherry, I found 25/64” worked fine as well as 13/32”. I used a 6mm hex wrench to screw the insert in. I created a slight countersink using a 1/2” drill bit. If the insert is driven to far into the wood (or a too tight of a hole) you’ll risk splitting. I didn’t use the included hex nuts.
