Great, I Highly Recommend For any Cable Cutters
Worked exactly as expected. Loaded the latest versions of Kodi and Amazon Prime Video on it(through Amazon Underground) and it worked well. Also the remote works decently but you need to hook up a keyboard and mouse to it to use some applications, like the Google App Store. Luckily, Logitech wireless dongles and accessories are just plug and play with this. Also, this has been very fast. I upgraded to this from a Amazon Fire Stick and the difference is like night and day.

Died after a week of limited use
Worked great for a week, then stopped working. Unlike the nvidia shield, it can run all android apps without needing a side load, and unlike similar boxes 1/2 the price the remote was responsive and easy to use. BOTTOM LINE IT STOPPED WORKING AFTER A WEEK.

but there are some apps like Showtime that refuse to work stating it will not ...
It's ok, barely runs Kodi, runs Netflix and Hulu, but there are some apps like Showtime that refuse to work stating it will not offer HDMI out. I'm thinking there are more apps that act in that manner out there I just haven't come across them yet. Terrible wifi attena on it, my wifi box is barely 15 feet away and I constantly open apps and get no connection errors, I go check the wifi settings and it will show 4 bars of service, yet says I'm not connected. Then I go to Google play and can download apps but at that same time testing, I'll go back to the same app that had the error and once again, says no connection. I guess it could eventually be a good gaming box for emulators, but if you are looking to stream content, look elsewhere. I own an Nvidia box that never has these issues and it's upstairs way far way from the wifi box yet does every single thing. I may just suck it up and buy a 2nd Nvdia box since it runs rings around this thing. I'll make use of it in its limited capacity, but don't waste your money.

Good performing android tv box
Android boxes are a hobby for me, so I can to upgrade old boxes about once a year. I purchased this box to replace a quad core 2gb ram box. I saw countless reviews about how great this box was, and what a great value it was given the specs. For some reason I thought the CPU was clocked at 2ghz, but that was way off. I think they are at 1.5, so maybe that was someone who overclocked it. So as a point of reference, I have a Shield, Beelink GT1, and the K12 Pro. It has similar specs to this one and similar performance. Anyway my impression out of the box is this thing feels cheap. By far its the flimsiest of my boxes, and the plastic case could easily crack if dropped on a hard surface. In all likelihood, it's going to be in your entertainment center so you won't have to worry about it. So after getting google installed and rebooting the box, it took about 34 seconds to boot to the home screen. The box it replaced took about 45 seconds, so it's a bit quicker. Unfortunately this thing comes loaded with a bunch of apps I didn't want, so I uninstalled about 11 apps that were useless to me. A version of Kodi is installed, but I ditched that and installed a clean version from google play. After installing all the apps I wanted, I ran a geek benchmark test. My old box scored about 1400, but in the past it hit around 1600 to 1700. It has slowed down with updates and such. The H96 scored 2456, so I was really happy about that. Apps open fast and haven't crashed so far. In the garage i'm getting about 45 mbps on wifi and 11 upload. Considering that is the farthest point in the house from the router, I'm pretty happy.. The remote on these boxes typically stink , but this one is decent. Unfortunately, its on the same band as my tv so it makes the TV do crazy things. I'll be using a mini keyboard instead to avoid this problem. I don't do a lot of gaming on my boxes, with the exception of the Shield. I'm starting to think with these boxes a good cpu is really important, but ram is more important than a GPU. A friend of mine has a quad core box with 4gb ram and he's scoring 2300 on the same GBT, and he paid about $20 less for his box. You always want to get the best cpu on these boxes and a octa core typically outperforms a quad core. If all you're going to do is stream like most of us do, you might want to try one of the 4gb ram boxes. So where does this box stack up with my other boxes? It's pretty clear cut. The Shield is the dominant king of streaming boxes, with the Beelink GT1 in it's review mirror. The beelink for $75 is a great performance box, and it blows my other boxes away. Its not on the same level and the Shield. Then I'd say the H96 is now 3rd in my house, and despite the cheap build quality I'm impressed. It scored higher than my 2 year old octacore that's upstairs. I always have a 4k firestick and while its good, its the slowest of my devices. Finally, you might be able to boost the performance on the H96. Seems like I saw on on of the videos you can switch between root and no root. If you do that, you can install a cpu overclocker and probably boost the performance. IMO you really don't need to do that, because it handles streaming just find. I would suggest spending $10 for the beelink if you want a better performing box. Great box, maybe a hair overpriced, but no issues so far.

Works very well
I've owned many of android tv boxes,(amazon tv, minix neo u1,ms8, and many others) after opening, this tv box seemed to look cheaply made it was very light, but after setting it up it performed very well. Great box with great specs I also deleted the pre\installed kodi and installed it my-self that being said great box, but my Minix neo u1 is still king.

Not great for a bedroom
So I had this item in my bedroom, which is upstairs but I wouldn't say it's more than 30 feet away from my router. My iPhone said it was getting 50 MB per second Wi-Fi speed, but the android box was reading six megabytes per second. If I were going to keep this in the living room right next to my router or even plugged in through an ethernet cord, I would say this is a great little device. However in my bedroom it would continuously dropped the signal. Also the LED light stays on and when I sleep I want the room completely dark.
