Q: We want to use this to staple replacement vinyl on a jet ski seat. Powerful enough?

It certainly will go through the vinyl, but the answer you are looking for depends on what the staple will be going into and the length of the staple. I am satisfied with the staple gun; It worked fine for me.

Q: Will it go over chicken wire into hardwood?

It WILL NOT go into hardwood! I tried it on plywood when I recovered some chairs and it didn't work good. I went back to my old chrome manual Arrow stapler with much better luck. it's the way to go if you have the hand strength to use it. I do not recommend buying this stapler.

Q: How is it (easy?) to reattach screens pushed out by my cat and / or to install new screens on my screen porch?

You should be able to reattach by taking off the wood strip and. Pull screen back in place by stapling. Ok made me a tool 4 inch’s 2inch. I placed paneling nails in strip so they would protrude through the wood strip about 1/8 inch. Cut me a handle on 30 degrees and pulled screen back in place. Hope this didn’t confuse you more.

Q: Would this staple luann to an existing floor ?

Probable not, flooring is so hard it would bend staples.
