100% Working ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was sceptical about buying this blank key + circuit board as to whether it would really be able to be programmed for my Citroen C5. 2012. I found a shop who would cut the key as places would not, excuse being poor quality import, but they would sell me one of theirs! After it was cut I needed to program it for my car. I didn't have the Citroen card with the key code but as the Citroen garage had done quite a bit of work on my car they didn't charge me when I asked for it. I have the equipment to program it and it all worked, starting the car and remote opening/closing. £12.79 for this fob and £8 for cutting, job done✔️

Fiddly But Worth the Effort
Both my key fobs were a mess - the previous owner of my car had given them a hard life and the buttons on each were cracked and torn. Bizarrely he had stuffed bits of beer mats under the cracked buttons to get them to work. I was dreading having to go to a dealership to get replacements. Happily this popped up on a search in Amazon and I bought one in the hope it would save me being fleeced at a main dealership. In summary - it worked perfectly. To be clear what you get is the black plastic case and not the internal electronics nor steel key. Hence you need to ensure your electronics work and it’s only the black plastic case which is faulty.Changing the case is a bit fiddly and you need a few tools. There are no instructions but briefly what you will need to do is:1. Use a small (pin) punch to remove the blank steel from the new fob. You use the punch and a tap with a small hammer to remove the retaining pin.2. Then do the same with the original key in the old fob.3. Slot the old steel key into the hinge slot in the new fob and use the hammer and punch to put the retaining pin back in.4. Open the cases of the old fob and the new fob and swap the electronics into the new fob. Ideally replace the battery now too.All in it should take about 10/15 minutes. If you are fussy you might want to use a knife to lift out the brand logo off the old fob and glue it onto the new fob.For a few pounds you end up with a fresh new fob at a fraction of what a main dealership would charge.I was so happy l bought another fob for the second set of keys l have. Both still work perfectly after 6 months use.Recommended.

Unfortunately not the same inside as my old fob
I purchased this as a swap for my existing key fob. But the inside shape is different to my key fob, so the circuit board won't fit in. I checked the model on the side, and it says compatible, but won't fit my Citroën.

Good quality not easy to install
It's sturdy a tough and will last a long time. But we had to Google a video in order to see how to replace the key. As the key is in between open and closed, there's a small pin that you need to push put in order to release the ignition key from the fob. Once we had managed that all was well.

This item was not suitable for a Citroen C4 which it was advertised as fitting.
Overall rating - 0 as it did not fit, but you hadn't a "0" rating. The blade supplied did not fit the key slot, it was too wide and too deep. Also the blade was grooved ( which our original WAS NOT.) We had to engage an automotive technician to mill it to fit at a cost of £90.00.Your advertisement says that it is the right blade for a Citroen C4 - well it isn't.I cannot return it as it does NOW fit following the work done on it however you should tell the truth in your adverts and not waste people's time and money.

Cheap and functional
Great replacement if your key is still working. I had been quoted £60 to replace the case.Just invest 10 minutes of your time. You'll need a hammer and a nail or something to get the little pin out that holds the key. That's the tricky part but not impossible. The rest is easy to just put the board in the case and close it.I couldn't get my Citroën logo off my old key, but that's not really an issue. Just wanted a key fob that works and that's what I've got now!

Only half a job
Where’s the battery figment? What’s the point in building a nice, sturdy unit and not having contacts for a battery? Sad to say, only half the job and not really fit for purpose. Sorry.
