Very comfortable dress. Under dress is a 100% cotton sleeveless “shift “ with some embroidery and lace that I’d be almost comfortable in as a night gown! On top of that goes the nylon lace. The sleeves are light and transparent so I wore it in 80 degree weather and it was not hot. I’m 5 6”, 165 lbs and average porportions (36 B bust) and the “ large” fit well. I doubt it would work for large busted women. Pretty burgundy red. The cotton under dress of course needed ironing after packing it tightly. . Looks dressy with heels and a nice bag. Flows and drapes. Almost empire style. Enjoyed wearing it. Too expensive for what it is but it was the best I could find for a formal wedding without resorting to 100% polyester rigid structured dresses which I don’t like.

Dress is nice. Like the color and way it fits. Was surprised the underskirt was cotton, but that is actually what the description says. Guess I just missed it and thought is was supposed to be satin. Would be a more elegant look with a satin underskirt, but the dress is nice even as is. Planning to wear it for a 1935's themed event. Customer service from the seller was great. They sent me the wrong size, and David contacted me to let me know even before I received it then sent a replacement of the right size to me before even sending me the return label. He followed up by email to make sure I had the return label which was great because I hadn't seen it in my email. Very good interaction with the seller. Thank you.

Have not worn this out yet, but I will. It is the style I wanted. However...it is long! A gown, it says, not a dress...in 2 pieces:Chemise and Overdress. I was surprised, but should have paid more attention. The front is shorter than the back, so the period shoes I bought will show. They only have a 1 inch or 1 1/2 inch heel. All in all, this will work for my event. (I am 5 ft. 4" tall. 130lbs.) I bought Large and am glad I did not buy Medium!

I thought the design was cute and the color was rich looking. However, the fabric of the under slip is very poor quality. The under slip is also made of a cheap cotton so the lace overdress clung to the lining when I moved. I am returning it. Certainly not worth the price.

This is a beautiful dress! I wore it to a barn wedding and received many compliments.Also this was very comfortable and very different.

Not the greatest color and snug in the bust but otherwise, nicely made.
