Can i use philips hue a19 bulb in them?

I suspect not. I've found that the "hue" series often don't extend enough into the socket of older lamps to make contact. This product calls for a conventional "flame shape" bulb, 60W or less. BTW: It's difficult to install. It requires no less than three hands. But it looks great.

Is there an on/off switch, or do you have to wire it to a switch?

This item needs to be hardwired, which means that you need to connect it to an electrical wall switch/toggle switch.

How do you mount this on a brick fireplace wall?

Get a mounting bracket a hammer drill couple of hollow wall inserts bracket should have threaded holes for the screws to mount light on mount bracket to brick mount light on bracket have fun
