this power converter. works super good . all my LED lights on the living room and Out side the house all are ON ! Good Job !! now the converter is heavy .. all aluminum .the contacts for the connection are well made off solid copper. after i install the red and black to the input side. the light star flashing red to green like in searching mode. after turn the lights On the red lights is solid .... i never filed heat from the converter. stay nice and cold .....I love it' this my review

This works great for the money but I had to switch to a similarly sized unit from a major brand name instead. If used with a subwoofer amplifier or other items with high powered dynamic loads that briefly spike over advertised amperage, the unit cuts out and all the other equipment running on it loses power. In our case we are using it in our camper to run lights, audio system, etc. During heavy bass drops at high volumes the lights and other items turn off for a brief second at the peak of the bass note. I switched to a Victoria brand unit of similar amperage and the problem was eliminated. Also, the three connections on this unit can easily short against each other if the bolts loosen which is a fire hazzard. I'd recommend bolting the wires down to the mounting surface separately so even if the bolts on this unit loosen there isn't enough slack for them to bump the next connector over.

It was damaged in two weeks

In my RV, I have a 24v battery system, so I need to drop down my voltage for my coach devices like fans and lights. This is a bit of overkill (more amps than I’ll ever draw) but that’s how I roll. However, once I started the install I became anxious about the proximity of the positives to the negative terminal! They are on the same plane and very close. I decided on heat shrink for positive and vinyl hose to protect the negative from accidental short circuit. I know this is not fire rated product, but I wanted physical protection against something dropping against lugs and shorting. One more con is they did not use threaded lugs; it’s just a piece of stock w a hole in it, then they give you 1/2” bolt and nut. Make do and save 50% compared to big blue brand.

Connected everything correctly and approximately 4 hours later it lit up in flames. Luckily I had a fire extinguisher near by and put it out. Needless to say this is a bad product or I got the faulty one.

Was going to convert 19-20 volts down to 12...did not get 12 volts
