Cuisinart Great products
It makes me happy that I made the upgrade. Had same brand previously , this choice was influenced because it was such a great product. No regret on either

A small but effective convection toaster oven that's perfect for preparing small meals
My view of toaster ovens from my college days wasn't very positive, but after reading about the negative health impacts of cooking with gas, I realized it was time to try a better model than what I could afford in my youth. The Cuisinart TOB-135N is one of the top-rated convection models in Consumer Reports, surpassed only by models costing 2-3 times more. I have not been disappointed. The controls are intuitive and easy to use and oven performance is excellent. Cleanup is a snap, as even backed on food wipes right off the rack and drip pan. The convection feature works nicely to decrease cooking temperature and time, but only slightly. Convection can also be used to air-fry, but this model isn't designed around that feature, lacking an air-fry setting or an air-fry basket. One caveat is that in heating frozen items, particularly frozen pizza, the oven never restores full temperature if one first preheats the oven and then adds the item. Preheating the oven with the item in place seems to be much more effective and baking times are then as expected.

Gets the job done
The oven arrived yesterday and Iโve used it 4 times so far, twice for toast, once of pizza, and once for phyllo dough and brie pastries. As others have stated, the build quality is far from rugged. The exterior is made of thin metal and the pan that comes with it warps slightly when it gets hot. The exterior metal makes a small pop as it expands when it heats up and again when it cools down. That may go away over time, though. Thereโs a small bump-out on the back of the oven. Iโm sure itโs there to increase interior space but it gets VERY hot (I have the burn to prove it). Be sure the back of the oven has a few inches clearance from a backsplash or wall. And be sure the plug doesnโt come in contact with it. The top of the oven gets warm but if you have adequate space between the top of the oven and any cabinets that are above it, you should be fine. The oven is more compact than I thought. We have limited counter space so I went with the smaller model although I think the larger model would have fit and would have provided some advantages (more on that later). The controls are relatively straightforward although youโll likely need to initially consult the instructions for settings that require you to select multiple options. For example, to start the bake cycle you need to select bake, press the temperature button to set the temperature, press the timer button to set the time, press convection if you want to use that option and press start. Itโs something Iโm sure will come naturally after using the oven a few times. It beeps once when it reaches the preheat temperature and opening the door to put the food in the oven initiates the timer countdown. When the amount of time youโve specified has elapsed, the oven beeps 5 times and shuts itself off. All in all, a very convenient way to bake. The display lights up for a minute or two when you adjust any settings and when you open the door, and then goes dark again. Thereโs a clock on the display although it can be a little hard to read when they display is dark. The first time I baked something, I thought I had done something incorrectly as the oven heated to the preheat temperature more quickly than I thought was possible. It turns out this thing heats up and is ready to go in a fraction of the time it takes my full-size oven to come to temperature. The oven has a stainless steel finish. One side has a lot of vents, the other is fee of vents. In my opinion, the vents arenโt very attractive but the way our kitchen is laid out, theyโre not really visible so itโs not a big deal. Iโm sure many people wonโt care so that may not be an issue for you. The interior is described as nonstick. The two heating elements on the bottom will probably pose a challenge when it comes time to clean the oven so time will tell how easy it is to clean. It toasts nicely with both sides of the bread being evenly toasted. I like my toast dark and it took 2 minutes and 20 seconds to finish toasting. Thatโs about 20 seconds longer than our conventional toaster although that abomination burns one side of the bread and leaves the other unscathed. Iโll be glad to see it go. Overall, I really like this oven. I was able to cook at 10โ pizza in it although it was pretty tight. It toasts bread well and heats up very quickly. Due to its size, my regular oven takes forever to preheat and gives off a lot of heat. Which is really annoying when weโre running the central AC to try and keep the house cool. I suspect my regular oven wonโt see much use in the future. The larger, similar Cuisinart (TOB-260N1) has more space, comes with additional accessories (e.g., a pizza stone) and has a light. I probably should have gotten that one but was concerned about counter space. I think the two things the larger one has that Iโll miss are the interior light and the rack that pulls out automatically when you open the door. Neither is a deal breaker and this oven was quite a bit less expensive. Initial impressions suggest this oven is a keeper. Iโll update this review if I note anything significant or we encounter reliability issues as we continue to use it over the coming months.

Perfect convection toaster oven
I first bought the Cuisinart oven with the white front in April 2017. It is a little workhorse that has performed flawlessly for the past 4.5 years and continues delivering. So why did I order another one today? (1) inflation seems to be out of control due to government policies, so I am buying ahead for the time when this oven that has performed so well inevitably reaches the end of its useful life. (2) Although I was disappointed at first that only the front is white, I got used to the look and actually came to like it very much. (3) The convection fan is EFFECTIVE + VERY QUIET!. (4) Consumer Reports, the NYTimes and others have said that toaster ovens with convection perform as well or better than dedicated air fryers. Just use a dark pan + a wire rack to allow the air to circulate beneath the food and you are good to go. Using a 12โ round pizza pan and an 11โ round stainless steel rack, I made a large batch of French fries that my adult son said were as good as any he had ever eaten in restaurants. (5) Having spent 2 days reading reviews for toaster ovens, I found that, sadly, Breville has in recent years become unreliable. Kitchen aid has a couple of models that I considered but the fan in their best rated model is said to be extremely noisy and the other doesnโt have convection. (6) I read the reviews posted for this Cuisinart convection toaster oven and found none that raised significant safety, reliability, or performance concerns. In response to the negative reviews that have been posted it is FALSE that this oven doesnโt accommodate a 12โ round pizza pan. One of our dark 12โ pizza pans is in fact sitting a bit askew on top of the oven in the photo I have posted. It is also FALSE that the white is not white. My Corian counters and bright white Daltile subway tile were chosen to work with the white of our refrigerator and range. Yes, the white of the Cuisinart oven is a bit brighter and warmer just as the white of the microwave is cooler, but to my eye all the whites in our kitchen work well enough together. Another reviewer complained about her oven turning brown. Mine too gets brown from cooking, particularly on the top of the door. I clean it, and it is white again. One reviewer said the lettering was gone in a matter of months. After 4.5 years of daily use my oven is still LIKE NEW in every respect, including the lettering.

Use This Oven For Everything: Score!
I bought this oven two years ago because my LA landlady refused to fix my oven (despite my sky high rent) and since the stove top worked I thought Iโd try an alternative first. I rarely use the oven and have an air fryer, but a close friend cooks and bakes for me all the time. And the toaster oven wasnโt cutting it. Frittatas wouldnโt cook properly. Fruit compote took forever. Most things wouldnโt fit. So I found this oven. And we couldnโt believe how well it worked. From baking cookies to broiling or baking chicken, to making tacos, it does it all. Itโs big enough to fit everything yet not so huge that it takes up the whole counter. I personally line trays with aluminum foil to avoid too much cleanup. Trays are removable. I bought extra trays for it like for an oven, shallow and deep. The temps are accurate and perfect. AND I use it to toast bread and bagels as thereโs no room for a toaster too, and I think it works just great. One of the best purchases iโve made. *I got a new oven when the upstairs was redone and, even though my oven works, I never use it, because why heat up my place when this one works so well.

Works great for our needs
I was looking for a basic, easy to operate, toaster oven with convection so I could avoid heating the house with the big oven. The cuisinarts all had very good reviews and size-wise this unit worked best for our needs. If I had the room I probably would have purchased the TOB-260 model for the additional functionality but this unit worked much better for the space we had. It is super easy to navigate the menu options, heats up quickly and cooks the food evenly. Convection can be turned off and on at will and time and temp adjusted during cooking. I've baked cookies, toast, and reheated pizza and roasted potatoes so far, all have come out as expected and took far less time than using the regular oven. The oven interior only accommodates a 10X11 pan so be aware of the size. Very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend.

Good oven -- poor toaster
This toaster/oven replaced a 7 year old Cuisinart model. First the good part. I like the stainless surfaces both the look and the practicality of keeping it clean. The convection fan is very quiet -- not a feature of our old oven. The crumb tray is better designed and is accessed from the front of the oven -- a real plus. I'm getting used to the controls. It is not very intuitive, but far better than push buttons. It preheats quicker than our older oven, which is nice. Now for the bad part. The old oven was 1400/1500 watts. As a toaster it was perfect. This oven is 1800 watts, which is why it preheats so quickly. However, as a toaster (our main use) the extra heat tends to burn the crust of the bread without properly toasting the body. The old oven toasted our home-made bread perfectly on #5 which was a time of 4min5s. This one, when set on a #4, gives a time of 3min49s. To keep from burning the toast I have to stop it at 30 sec. We finally decided to use #3 and let it sit for another 10 - 20 seconds. Oh yes, that stainless surface -- it's great except for the corrugated top. Looks kind of industrial. -----18 months later. Finally had to give up on this unit. It does not toast at all well. On 4 it burns the bread and on 3 it leaves it just warm. What is needed is a way to alter the pre-programmed time on each setting. All other functions are fine. Really disappointed.

Worth the money
I had read a number of reviews and decided to go with the Cuisinart Delux Toaster Oven Broiler. The knob and setting selection is easy to figure out. There are 3 tray heights within the oven. One requires you to flip the shelf over so you get 3 heights using only 2 shelf slots. Another thing to note is the instructions- they tell you which shelf heights/positions are required for the various heating settings. The first thing I made were baked falafels. I was very impressed with the even baking. Since then I have baked brownies, toasted English muffins, reheated pizza, baked various frozen foods (chicken nuggets, bagel bites, french fries, etc). If anything it may be faster and require less time than the food prep instructions recommend. Overall, the oven has been consistent and been my go to for a lot of our oven needs (we are only a family of 3). This has been nice during the summer months. Some reviews commented on how hot the oven gets. It does get hot but nothing out of the ordinary for a toaster oven. They are not designed to be highly insulated. The designers did add a bump out on each side of the oven so that you can not put the oven directly against another thing on the counter.

Nice toaster oven with digital controls
We previously had a very similar toaster oven that gave up the ghost after many years. It had analog style controls. This one looks better, works really well and is a big improvement over the previous one. We love it!

Versatile toaster oven - a good buy
I love this toaster/pizza oven. Our family uses it to reheat leftover meals, make small pizzas, and toast bagel melts or bread. It's very handy with a nice tray to put covered bowls or food on (see pics). This makes it easy to stay clean! I think Cuisinart is a good brand as we also have their 4-slice toaster and it works great. It's a perfect stove alternative for a cottage, or an energy-efficient stove alternative for the home kitchen.
