This little light is bright! I love that it collapses down for storage or when you want to use it like a flashlight. It has 3 settings (High, Low, Flashing) and will be perfect for camping. Very happy with this purchase!

I got these to keep in my 'emergency cabinet' in case of power outages. They are handy and compact as well as being nice and bright. They are plastic so I don't expect that they would withstand a ton of abuse. Getting them to lock closed takes a few extra seconds of twisting to be sure they 'catch' and stay closed. I plan on ordering a few more in the near future.

These are great lights! I got 2 of them and used them when we went camping. They worked perfectly.

As someone who likes to be prepared, light is one of the first things on my list that I am concerned with when it comes down to it in an emergency. This lantern is great to collapse down into a hand sized object to take with you, then when you open it, it sort of pops up to become a lantern. It was a little tough to get the lantern open, but it works very well. The light is rather bright and it simply takes regular AA batteriesIt is small enough when folded to stick in an emergency pack, like a 72 hour bag or into a tote, but you could even stash it in a purse or in the car in case you need it. It seems to have held up fine so far. No issues. Perfect lantern, easy to stow

This is great I go to the park every single weekend and with winter making our nights earlier there are many times we are stuck out in the dark. I've bought a few other things that really weren't meant for this purpose and they didn't work out very well. This little lantern closes up so tiny. The item in the picture on the left is actually how small this thing gets. It lit the table up more then enough to serve dinner at a picnic table and light up enough so the night isn't ruined and everything can be found or seen. Everyone should have a few of these lantern buddies.I was lucky enough to get a discounted price to try this item out and let people know how it worked out for me. This is a very convenient little lantern. It folds down into a compact hockey puck-like disk, and then unfolds to make a nice little lantern for camping, emergency use, power outages, etc. It's got a lot of light for such a small package, and works great as the light in a tent or at your picnic table over an evening cup of coffee or hot cocoa. (Or even to illuminate your evening meal.)I also like that it uses AA batteries. We believe in the "K.I.S.S" theory (Keep It Simple, Stupid) so we try to ONLY use AA devices when we are camping or for our emergency kit. That way, we have no need of a bunch of different batteries!This light is small enough to take along backpacking even, as long as you aren't going ultra-light. It weighs very little, and most of that weight is going to be the batteries to operate it. I don't know exactly how many hours a fresh set of batteries will give you, as we've not tested it that far, but with LED bulbs, I would anticipate at least one weekend out of it. (We do use rechargeables.) Overall, I'm very happy with this light and glad that we got it. It's a much softer, glare-less light, and that makes it easier to use in close quarters such as your tent. That glareless light does mean that it isn't going to be intense light, so you may still want a more direct beam from a flashlight along.I did purchase this lantern with a promotional discount in exchange for my honest review. I was so excited to receive this lantern. At first I was a little disappointed, but that was only because I misread the description of the product and thought it was a solar camping lantern. However, after putting some batteries in and playing with it for a few minutes, I am very pleased with this lantern. I love that it is collapsible! Just push the two ends together and twist and it stays together nicely. When camping we always have to bring so much stuff with us, so it's nice to have some thing that can be made so small! One of the coolest things about this little lantern is that when it is collapsed down, it can still be used as a flashlight. When you turn the lantern on, there are three settings. High, low, and flashing. The high setting gives off quite a bit of light, the low setting still gives off light, but acts more like a night light or if you need it in a small area. And the flashing section does just that, it flashes! The white material that is collapsible is a very sturdy nylon feeling material. To be honest I'm not sure what material it is made of, but it has survived my 6, 5 and 3 year old, so it must be heavy duty! The on/off button is very easy to push. You just have to push the button through the settings and then it will turn off.I did receive this product at a discounted or free price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
