Dji rules! Best beginner drone.
Mine came direct from Dji Hong Kong in 4 days! This little drone is built to last and does everything well.Next up is to get the FPV goggles and motion controller but the goggles are being price gouged by almost 100% by some sellers!Amazon.com needs to kick those sellers to the curb!Tariffs are not even in force yet!Buy this drone and let's go fly.

Awesome little drone!
I can’t say enough about the Neo. Considering its size and its price, combined with all of its features it’s an absolute monster! Super easy to fly, and has several performance modes to give your video a more polished look. It’s little a little louder than I would expect coming from such a small drone. You definitely need more than one battery though. I also recommend getting the controller.

Great quality !!
I’m really happy with this drone! It’s easy to fly, super stable, and the extra batteries are a huge plus — they let me enjoy much longer flying sessions without worrying about charging. Great quality and totally worth it!

Good affordable starter drone with AI feature
Battery life is low. You will need extra batteries. ~10-18 minutes.AI controller-less features work great.Small enough to stuff in pocket. On board storage is low, make sure to periodically clear it out.RC-N2 works well for better range. Otherwise range is roughly one block using cell phone.Much slower than drone flight videos you see online. Top speed is basically their slow cinematic video speed.EDITFinally got it working. Simple affordable starter for drones.Edit: power went from full charge to half drained doing nothing while I tried to figure out how to get the app installed. Totally unacceptable.Edit: finally activated after endless insane do this do that, even a tutorial that can't be found only to have it shut off forced due to "overheating" while literally doing nothing but sitting there with the power on. Even before activation.Complete utter garbage trolling again. These guys should be punished for wasting my time, let alone the utter disrespect involved.Requires side loading the app, past warnings of being out of date, arrived late and required a huge wait, and the app itself requires too many permissions and security hoops as well as requiring you to register an account through their app just to activate the drone.Frustrating par for the course trolling using Apple ecosystem to put things out of reach and mocking life struggles for what reason I do not know

Kind of game changing, but also a lot of 1.0 vibes. If you don't own a drone, buy this one.
The good: This is by far the most user friendly and accessible camera drone that DJI or anyone has put out at any price... and the price is low enough to be a safe experiment for a lot more people. The bad: In a few ways it falls short of expectations set by other DJI drones, and the software is not all that polished. No vertical video mode, and the camera isn't as good as DJI's larger drones. Battery life is much shorter than other DJI drones. No card slot, so memory is fairly limited. The product description is accurate. For less than a lot of college kids might spend on a bar night, you get a selfie camera that can produce usable 4k video for social media etc on day one with negligible learning curve. Using the phone as a controller opens up the basics of "the regular drone experience" with joystick style controls and a live camera feed, without adding to that "not even enough for a weekend airbnb" price point. Add an optional $150 controller and you have basically all of the main capabilities of the Mavic Mini series plus a safe and durable fully faired design that can be operated even indoors or above people and is exempt from many FAA rules.Compared to "pro" series drones, there are a lot of limitations. You can't fly more than about one city block in manual mode with the app controller, even if you walk with it. The phone app has a few other limitations compared to a dedicated controller including altitude being much more limited. If you aren't an experienced drone pilot, you may not know what you're missing anyway. No vertical video or photo shooting is a mild nuisance and a head scratcher for a model aimed at social media use. Overall, the camera is "good enough" and essentially on par with an entry level smartphone, 4k/30 (horizontal only) and 12mp photos, with no zoom. The camera isn't hard to beat at all as cameras go, but being able to fly somewhat sets it apart from other cameras you can buy for less than the price of a night at a decent hotel. The controller app, which you already have if you've used another DJI drone recently, is lacking polish in some ways, being a totally new interface. It can be a little slow in certain ways and it has fewer controls on screen than you get with the hardware controllers. But it works, and it's easy to use. I would feel comfortable gifting this to someone not exceptionally tech savvy. The room for improvement is what i mean by "1.0 vibes." It's an awesome concept but you can visually see how this mode in the app lacks the polish of other screens, like quick transfer, which incidentally works beautifully. The no controller modes are really cool as well. There are multiple versions of followed mode and one of them is for the drone to fly "backwards" while keeping you in frame. This is fantastic for vlogging, and can use the phone microphone pretty seamlessly as well, though only if you launch from the app and touch a setting first. The other "quick shot" modes are similar to other DJI drones but much quicker to access and great for, well, quick use. Being able to get a drone selfie without fussing with a controller is kind of game changing for the "snapshot" style.Playing with this drone has forced me to kind of rethink the boundaries of what a drone can and should do. This is far from my first drone, but it's the first one I could put in my pants pocket without worry. This means it can go places that other drones can't practically go, or rather, places i normally wouldn't bother taking one. I can take this on every hike. I can take it to the dog park. I can even take it into a big box store. I can take it casually to a lot of places where other drones need conspicuous permission. For kayaking and rafting, this means that i can casually toss a drone into my main drybag versus before a lot of careful planning being required for the bulk of a whole kit. It's the same as the difference between my iphone, which i carry everywhere with no thought, and my big Sony Alpha, which I leave behind most of the time. The best camera is the one you have with you, and likewise the drone that isn't a lot of work to haul around will get shots other drones could technically get better but won't be present for.The other limitation is battery life, but read the whole thought. Battery life is around 15 minutes of flight time and it takes longer than that to recharge. This is a third of what you get with the larger DJI drones. However, it is more than enough for most uses, and many experienced drone pilots remember a time when 15 minutes was an exceptionally long flight time. Again, for a drone that costs less than some cable bills, this is a small complaint. This goes hand in hand with the other "weird" limitation of no SD card. The internal memory is apparently around 22 gigabytes, a rather odd figure. But it's enough for more video than you could possibly shoot on one battery, and transfer to phone is faster than real time. DJI has really perfected the "quick transfer" function and 4k footage transfers losslessly. There doesn't seem to be a "format" or "erase all" function in the app but it's pretty easy to delete videos one at a time or in a batch. A "delete after transfer" software feature could be nice for them to add in an update.Overall: If you don't have a drone yet, this is your chance to get one that is versatile and fun at a minimum investment. Without even adjusting for inflation, this flying camera costs less than I spent on my first "real" camera during high school - without a lens. This is a drone with AI capabilities for less than what I paid for my first Nokia brick phone. A ticket to Hamilton costs more, and not even for a good seat. It is truly an astounding value.Buy this drone and learn to fly it with the phone app. Then upgrade by adding a controller - pro tip, you can probably find a compatible RC-N2 controller used for a bit less. You can even add the DJI FPV headset to create a really cool high speed VR flying kit for a lot less than those used to cost, and you can start the process with this simple piece that costs less than many popular action cameras. I'm just looking around my living room for trivialthings that cost more than this... most musical instruments. An Apple HomePod. A professional family portrait. My good American flag. My basic TV. Heck i have more than the price of this drone invested in laptop bags in my line of sight right now. This drone cost less than my set of Star Trek DVDs.You will not regret getting one. Go for it and have fun.
