Fits Newer Version of Kohler K3385 EB Rochelle Toilet
This review is for Kohler 84499 Genuine Kohler Float Valve Retrofit/Replacement Kit, N/A, (ASIN: B004OASK0Y). Let me start by saying this kit is identical to Kohler 84499 1B1X Conversion Kit, (ASIN: B00128GSDC). I purchased this kit to repair a late 1970's Kohler K3385 EB Rochelle toilet. However, it turns out that Kohler changed the internals on the Rochelle toilet around 1983/85, and this kit only fits that newer version. So, this kit did not fit my 1970's version. I will say the components looked well made, and it is a complete replacement of all of the toilet internals. I saw no damage or flaws to any of the pieces, so I am confident that this kit works perfectly fine in the newer version of the Kohler Rochelle toilet.

worked on broken Kohler Rialto
Plumber replaced the guts of our old Kohler Rialto with no trouble... cheaper and easier than getting a new toilet.

More expensive, but worth it
Solid quality, a little too pricey, but with it I fixed the annoying leak in the low boy toilet without no trouble

Difficult installation, but great once done
Removal of old equipment was difficult as the previous owner had used an aftermarket kit. However once I got the new parts in, EXCEPT for the hose replacement it was not too bad. However the hose is a thick very stiff hose, that needs to be shoved into a hole THAT YOU CANNOT SEE, and the hole is exactly the size of the hose. I can't tell you how many hours I tried to get it in, before I finally found the manufacturer's video, which suggested I put the tip of the hose in boiling water for a few seconds, which did the trick. It flushes much better now.

pricey but perfect
kohler will never be discounted. but the quality is way beyond the normal had a problem with a kohler toilet functioning. tried repairing myself and was a failure, tried walmart parts and that was a disaster. bit the bullet and hired a retired plumber and then got him all the correct parts. he repaired in about 10 minutes.

Did not fit my Kohler lowboy without modification. But ...
Did not fit my Kohler lowboy without modification. But after doing that mod, it does work and fixed a long term leaking toilet.
