High Quality
This gives all the water filtering power of life straw, but with a bottle you can carry around so you dont have to lean over and put your face down by the body of water.

Excellent for adventure travel
Fit nicely in backpack water bottle holders. Easy to use and gave me peace of mind hydrating in the Amazon jungle, Andes and Galapagos. Great purchase for overseas adventure travel.

Great bottle but did leak a little
I love this water bottle for how easy it was to travel all over South America with it and be able to drink from anywhere (I even used it to have a few sips of lake titicaca! Didn’t taste amazing though but that’s to be expected. I didn’t get sick though!!)I dropped it from standing once or twice and it didn’t break (contrary to the experience of some other reviewers), but it did start leaking a few weeks in to use, which is why it’s getting four stars. That might’ve been my fault though because I dropped it in the sand and maybe that caused it to start leaking? So I had to keep it upright for the rest of the trip which was kind of annoying, but the carabiner definitely helped! And I love that a portion of the proceeds goes to providing clean water for those in need. I’d definitely recommend getting this bottle over buying lots of bottled water on your travels, which creates so much waste!

Great for travel!
This is amazing! Took this on my 3rd trip to India. Drank all water through this bottle. For the first time I did not get sick on my trip! A must have for travelers! My husband says even our home tap water tastes better from it!

Works great
Followed all the instructions to wash/rinse the bottle before use, and brought it with me to Cuba. Didn’t have any issues! Never got sick. Was I worried a little bit about how much it felt like I would have to suck on the straw to drink? Yes. Did that end up being a useless worry? Also yes. 100% recommend this, especially for travel.

Am in Mexico and loving my Lifestraw!!!
I am in Tulum Mexico 5 days into a 12 day trip around the peninsula and had to write this review to say the Lifestraw is amazing! I take it to any restaurant and fill it with the water they give me with no concerns about whether it’s filtered or tap water - the best thing is that I can put the ice in it too! It’s so hot and humid here and I have to keep reminding myself to drink, drink, drink which is easier to do when the water is cold! So far so good! No Montezumas revenge! Fingers crossed!I purchased both the lifestraw and the Grayl. I purchased the Grayl filter water for washing produce and for drinking with my vitamins and probiotics (difficult to swallow tablets when sipping hard on a straw) but the Lifestraw is the one I am using on my day tripping.Only thing I don’t recommend is that at one restaurant they had water with citrus floating in it so I refilled using that water and the juice in the water made the water in my Lifestraw cloudy the next day and it did have a flavor so I rinsed it out and refilled and it’s back to normal.I will update this review at the end of my trip but for now it’s been a godsend and I am so pleased I bought it with me!Edit: well the Lifestraw went everywhere with me around the Yucatán Peninsula and to Mexico City. No need for bottled water and no issues! We ate everything from food made under an awning on the side of the road in Tulum to market food in Valladolid to tiny restaurants in Merida along with salsas, lettuce, tomato all the things they tell you not to eat and we didn’t get sick once! But we didn’t drink a single sip of water without it going through the Lifestraw. We did drink cocktails at a couple of very good restaurants (Heartwood etc) and some of the beachside resorts in Tulum because restaurants of that caliber and good resorts use filtered water. A lot of the street sellers of water sell bottles but it worried me cause they were in tubs of ice so even the water on the outside of the bottles could be problematic and who knows if the bottles were refilled or not so we purchased them and decanted into our Lifestraw just to be sure! The Grayl was a godsend for water to clean our teeth as the Lifestraw wasn’t any good for that (rinsing the toothbrush etc) also if you stay at an Airbnb and want to make ice or wash produce, the Grayl is the way to go. So it is helpful to have both or buy a large bottle of water somewhere for teeth cleaning etc and use the Lifestraw for all of your drinking water. The Lifestraw was a life saver! Wouldn’t travel without it now!
