Excellent tool! Right "caliber" for any kind of work and good choice of replacement erasers - from General's (Factis) or from Tombow Mono (3.8 mm) here at Amazon. Accepts Staedtler's 3.8 replacement erasers as well. Eraser holder (body) made in Japan. Will work for you for many years to come - I bought my first one six or seven years ago.

I'm not sure precisely why but the tip tends to pop off when the eraser extends outward. My girlfriend ended up taping the tip on so it doesn't contr to happen. Besides that it works as well as can be expected. :)If we didn't have that issue it'd be great.

Factis eraser pencil is not too slim like the two Tombows, or bulky like the Pentel or Staedler. It is just the right size. The pencil advances lead with precision and holds it in place firmly. The expose rubber has a satisfying diameter and firmness that allows erasing small and large areas quickly without bending it out of shape. It said Generals in the package, and I thought it was generic, Sharpie style low quality stationery. I was surprised by the attention to detail, until I found a little label that read…made in Japan.

This is eraser is a godsend to any artist! I actually first saw this eraser in an art class, where my professor recommended it. I went and picked on up a couple of weeks later, and I've never been more glad to follow her advice! I work in both traditional and digital art, and when my last detail eraser ran out, using a pencil became more trouble than it was worth. As a person who gets so lost in lines, erasing as I go is so important to me, and the tiny tip of this eraser is absolutely wonderful to do those on the go edits for a pencil drawing. I'm so happy I can finally go back to my old sketchbook and put it to use again!
