After years of wearing my hair up in a tight ponytail & over a year of Zoom meetings my hair did not feel healthy. My absolute favorite stylist recommended skipping the tight ponytail. Apparently it can stress hair, cause breakage, and even hair thinning & bald spots! 🤯🤯🤯 Ok ponytail gone, but I still need the hair off my face. Back to the scrunchie. The dated, so over, would not be caught dead with scrunchie. I knew every time I pulled my ponytail holder or over sized barrettes out they always pulled hair out too & painfully! The scrunchie was the best option. The best option- after reading way too much about how to have healthy, full, fabulous hair- silk scrunchie. These are soft, I like the colors I picked, and I have rarely freed my hair to find the scrunchie had taken my hair with it. No hair pulling! For hair health they are great. The price was good, especially since I was curious. They are not a fashion statement or accessory, they are functional, soft, and pretty. Negative - the first one I pulled out of the pack surprised me by snapping as I tried to put it in my hair. The elastic inside broke in the first minute in my hand, before ever getting it into my hair. So far, after a few months, no others in the pack have suffered the same fate.Most important to me. I can pull back my hair without torturing it & my hair feels healthier & fuller & I don’t find myself screaming “OUCH” when I take the ponytail or bun down.I will but again.
