I love it!!
I am so happy with the purchase of the Yamaha Arius 164. I haven't played in years and was looking for a piano. The standard size piano was too large to fit anywhere in my home. I watched and read reviews and decided on this Yamaha 164. The sound is excellent and it feels like I am playing a real piano. The quality is very good. The bench fits me perfect and I couldn't stop playing it for hours after we put it together. My husband and myself had no trouble putting it together. All pieces were included with instructions and fit together perfectly. The box it arrived in was very well packaged. I had to wait for several weeks to receive because of back order but it was well worth it. Haven't learned all the different sounds but look forward to learning them. Right now just enjoying the sweet sound and happily playing these beautiful keys. Hope to teach my granddaughter to play in the future. Thank you Yamaha and Amazon

Great digital piano!
I used to play piano, back in high school. I was self-taught and only had a Yamaha keyboard. I used to play a lot, but was never really in the realm of pro-level.After stopping for about 5 years, I decided that I wanted to pick up the piano again, but hit it hard this time. I did some researching and decided that since I didn't have room for a piano, I would purchase either a professional keyboard, or a digital piano. After lots of research, I decided on the YDP164R.The keys feel like a real piano and it even includes 3 foot pedals. I can't get the pedal on the far-left to work, but I'm not sure if that's my own misunderstanding. The sustained pedal was new to me, since I only had a small keyboard in the past, but I've adapted quickly to it. I've only had this for about 2 months, but I feel like I've logged over 40 hours on this thing. The sound quality is amazing and it feels natural to play.I'm extremely happy with my purchase and I wouldn't think of replacing it.

Impressive
This piano has everything you need to get started. The sampling is done well, the touch sensors work well, and the companion app makes changing the settings really easy. When you're wearing headphones, the sound quality REALLY shines through. And this piano can also double as a MIDI controller if you're into music production.

Sounds like a fine piano
The piano is heavy and not easy to assemble without help. It took two strong young men to lift the piano top from the box. Then base assembly took done skill, as well. That is the only negative. I can’t play this piano enough. What a pleasure!! Sound and touch are great.

Spectacular!
I've waited most of my years for the opportunity to sit at a grand piano, but the chances always seemed to elude me.Purchasing the real thing was certainly out of the question, not only because of the price, but because I live in a small apartment.Yamaha to the rescue! Somehow, someway, they managed to squeeze a 9-foot concert grand into this space-saving unit, and I am completely amazed by the tone and clarity it produces. This YDP-103 model is one of the least expensive of Yamaha's line of instruments, but I can't imagine the realistic sound being any better. Possibly when you pay more for other models you're getting more furniture supporting and surrounding the keyboard, but I don't think my ears would be able to tell the difference in the actual quality of tone.It arrived well-packed, and was quite easy to assemble. I'm still discovering its many functions, and I expect that to be an enjoyable learning process. In the meantime, if the only sound it ever produced was the authentic beauty of a masterfully crafted 9-foot concert grand, it would still be more than worth the money. This is simply one of the best purchases I've ever made in my life! Now, if I could only play like Rachmaninoff...
