What is the shelf life of the tablets after opening the container? Will they last 4 or 5 years with occasional opening ?

I have been using the product from the same tub for at least 3 years without a problem. In other words, it appears to be holding up well and still effective. However, the lid must be on tight because the base chemical may dissipate in the air which can cause corrosion. I am sure the company would let you know about the life of the chemical and its shelf life.
