good batteries
I originally bought these Hiquick AA rechargeable batteries because my child’s toys were going through disposable batteries far too quickly. I picked up the set of 8 to try them out, and they’ve been excellent so far. They recharge well, hold their charge nicely, and work reliably in every device I’ve tested, from toys to a wall clock, where they’ve lasted a long time without needing a recharge. I also bought the charger from the same brand after my old one stopped working, and both the batteries and charger feel sturdy and durable. One thing that impressed me is how tough they are. My child has dropped them many times while playing with them, and they still work perfectly with no issues. Honestly, I wish I had bought these much earlier. They would have saved me a lot of money compared to the endless disposable batteries I used to buy. I’m definitely going to order more since we always need extra batteries for his toys.

Rechargeable batteries that perform well
I use these HiQuick 2800mAh rechargeable batteries mostly in Xbox controllers, battery-powered Christmas lights and remote controls. Having tried various rechargeable batteries over the years, I have at last found a few different brands, HiQuick included, that suit my needs. I’m not sure whether the technology has significantly improved across the board in recent times or whether there are a number of different brands using the same type of decent quality battery. Either way, these HiQuick batteries work well in the various devices I put them in. As with most rechargeable batteries they last somewhat less time than equivalent non-rechargeable alkaline batteries (probably lasting about two-thirds the time of alkaline ones). But they can of course be recharged repeatedly so there is the potential to make significant savings. The listing claims that these batteries can be recharged over 1200 times but I’m nowhere near that yet, so can’t say whether that is an accurate claim. They charge pretty quickly, although some of that charging performance will be down to the type of charger that you have. Once charged, they also seem to retain that charge well over time whether or not they are being used which is a definite positive with rechargeable batteries. I’m pleased with these batteries and can recommend them. They seem to be good quality, are affordable and last very well in the equipment I put them in.

Good enough
They don't hold their charge well if you say charge them and then leave in a drawer.. however, for general needs they charge and work well enough.. I just charge them on a sort of rotation. Ideally I would charge all and have in a drawer. I mostly use for led lights and such. Worth is for the sake of not buying batteries constantly.

Save money in the long run and buy these...
These batteries have been brilliant so far. I think this is my 5th purchase of different sizes. They hold their charge well and work perfectly in toys, remotes and other household gadgets. Nice having rechargeable batteries instead of constantly buying new ones. I think they spend more time powering my daughters toys than anything else in our house! Would definitely recommend.

Good Quality Rechargeable Batteries for Daily Use
I’ve been using the HiQuick 2800 mAh AA rechargeable batteries for a while now, and they’ve done a solid job. They charge quickly, hold power well, and last long enough for things like remotes, kids’ toys, and my wireless mouse. I haven’t tested the full 2,800 mAh capacity, but in real use they seem strong and consistent. Even after a few recharge cycles, performance hasn’t dropped. For the price and the 16-pack quantity, I think they’re great value - practical, reliable, and easy to recommend.

Capacity not as advertised
Systematically tested battery capacities (as bit of a science/database project with my 8 year old). Of 16 not one battery has 2800mAh. 5 average 1347mAh (48% of advertised capacity) 10 average 2011mAh (72% of advertised capacity) 1 has 2415mAh (86% of advertised capacity) Some interesting statistical lessons for my child about process and quality control. Ten (63% of this lot of 16) are all within 42mAh of each other. The next group of 5 (highest 1255 vs lowest 1441) have a wider spread of 186mAh. Finally there is one better quality outlier. Overall the clustering suggests a fairly consistent pattern of about 2/3rd capacity very tightly clustered around 2000mAh and 1/3rd loosely clustered around 1350mAh. This is remarkably consistent and suggests a reasonably constant production & quality control process. There are also some interesting life lessons about misleading/false advertising. I find it difficult to believe that the vendor doesn't know these figures. As a reference we also tested a bank of eneloop AA and AAA batteries which advertised at 2000/750mAh are almost all higher and within 100mAh of their advertised capacity. Even our ten year old IKEA Ladda batteries are mostly around 1750 of their original 2000mAh. Also for reference we used a LiitoKala tester/charger. See pictures. While it is impossible for us to know how accurate our tester is (that would be a whole other experiment) using other brands of batteries for a comparative baseline (yet another lesson) provides a pretty clear confidence interval for our dataset.
