Antarctic Krill Oil 1000 mg with Omega-3s, 120 Softgels

As a researcher who studies the biochemistry and biophysics of macular degenerative disease, I could spend an hour extoling the importance of DHA/EPA/Omega 3's to eye health in addition to overall health, but by now, most people know that "fish oil" is really good for the body and should be incorporated into our diets by supplement if not by diet. That being said, not all fish oils are created equally and it's important to know what you're getting for your buck and your body, as poor quality fish oils can cause more problems than they solve. Remember, you are what you eat, but you also are what your food eats! That's why it's important to get fish oil from wild caught, NOT farmed fish! The most common ingredients found in the pellets fed to farmed fish are corn, soy, poultry, canola, wheat and fish among other things that are not at all part of a fish's natural diet in the wild. If you are taking fish oil for omega 3's you have to realize that the fish meat itself will be lower in DHA and EPA if they are farmed because the fish get these nutrients from eating their natural diet, not pellets! The amount and quality of omega 3’s you get from farmed fish are far less than wild-caught. You're actually better off not taking fish oil at all rather than take a low quality one. Krill oil by comparison is more stable and is phosphorylated, meaning it's easier for your brain to use. Your body has to naturally phosphatize regular fish oil, so taking krill oil saves your body this step. It also has more astaxanthin which is a carotenoid which is critical for protecting your vision long term. I have taken numerous types and brands of fish and krill oil over the years, but this is my favorite hands down. The capsules are small and easy to swallow, they don't smell and taste fishy and there are NO FISH BURPS later! I've been taking 2 per day, 6 days a week for 8 months now and I'm a huge fan and can give them my highest recommendation! I sincerely hope this review has been helpful to someone else! I love this stuff no fishing taste works great reasonable price. The only problem is I wish they would keep it stacked more.

Sorry - I thought I could handle krill oil but the smell is pretty bad. Have to wash my hands after taking the pill. Not really ideal. I don’t know if this is the case for all krill oils but I’m gonna have to go back to whatever my old omega vitamins were. The krill is too krill smelling.

I am noticing it’s slightly better than the fish oil. You really need to take the krill/fish oil if you are having cardiovascular weakness. Either burpless fish oil or the krill oil will help to strengthen the weaken heart and the blood vessels. About 4 years ago, my cardiovascular system got really messed up due to lack of sleep and smoking/drinking. Some of the symptoms were: Sitting at the office chair (on/off) more than 6 hours a day would cause my heart stress, giving sharp pain and maybe palpitation if I push further. That’s the sign that I need to stand up the rest of the day at work. My heart hurts when it palpitate, even few mins. The pain/stress will last for several days and loose several pounds of weight. I had to take extra precaution not to cause any heart stress while recovering. I was weighing 220 pounds (was overweight) and lost the weight down to 180 lbs during this time. I can see severe hand bruising when I tried to use hand vacuum, only weighs 4 bls. Blue and black all over my hand (palm/fingers). It was micro bleeding everywhere. That’s when I figure that my cardiovascular system was shot to hell… For some odd reason the doctor did NOT recommended fish oil… Fish oil is the best thing happened to my cardiovascular problem. Completely stopped smoking and drinking. I did my best to do exercise, eat healthy/ tried to get better sleep and the heart health improved very little within 2-1/2 years or so. But within a month of take the fish oil, half dose, I can see drastic difference on my heart health. I can feel my heart getting resilient, even with the heart palpitation, the recovery time lasted less than a day, not several days. Been taking the fish oil for more than a year and the palpitation does not bothers me that much. Now I take Krill oil in the morning and fish oil at lunch time.

My Dr. said that I needed to just be aware of my cholesterol and suggested that I take this daily. I have to tell you....no problem. I've had to take a statin in the past and was immediately taken off bc of my reaction. My numbers are around 200 for the bad cholesterol but my good cholesterol is super high. My Primary Care Giver advised that I take these daily along with COQ10. Hey...so far so good (mind you....I'm not giving medical advise - ALWAYS check with your Doctor, DO NOT take your health instruction from a "REVIEW" of a product). The pill is a little on the large side but it's gel and it goes down super easy. I get no after taste, nor an after burp. I highly recommend this - if for nothing but its VERY good for your heart. I have this on auto-ship. The price I purchase it on Amazon is far better than the prices even at the wholesale stores. Good luck and good health!

Very good product, but pricey. No after taste and easy to swallow for a daily supplement.

This krill oil is different from the one l bought in the United States.This krill oil is impure and l burped after taking it.

I spent over £100 for what I was led to believe was three packs, slightly pricey but acceptable for quality. I was horrified to find out that it was only one back (60pills = 30 days only). To make things worse the seller has included a very bad returns policy and it is not easy for someone working full time hours to achieve this, but high leads me to further believe this is a scam to take peoples money. One last thing it may be relevant to mention is that I was fed to this seller from a website that gave advice on the dangers of heavy metals in cheaper versions of this product, this only further leads me to be believe that’s it’s a pre meditated and elaborate method designed to over charge for a product, with the incorrect purchase information displayed before making it hard to return. If Amazon had more sellers like this they would not have such a successful business I guarantee it. The product is great but AVIOD THIS SELLER!
