I thought it measured in inches

I don't remember for sure, but I believe the ad indicated that the measurements at the board were in metric. If they would be in inches, it would be helpful for me for a rough positioning of a line, but I use a scale ruler and measure dimensions directly on the drawing for more precise positions.
