Very basic, but a nice refresher.

Concentrated pathophisiolical overview of Hematology with bad drawings . Still very useful : Hematology is so difficult that it is not covered well in medical school . The book definitely filled the gaps in my knowledge , but I wish there was more explanation of the office presentations that we see in the office . The book is really good , but I am a little more ambitious in seeking to understand since I have been in practice for over 45 years. For my needs , I needed a little tiny bit more .

I am a MLS that works specifically in the Hematology department and I love this book. It's really informative and I love to read it in my downtime.

This book truly breaks down all the important & major points making it so simple to learn and retain only the information you need.

I am a prospective Medical Lab Technology student and currently taking prerequisites to get into an MLT program. This program has 4 hematology classes that I need to take for a total of 15 hematology credits. I bought this book to help learn some of the main topics before I even start my program. While taking pre-req Anatomy and Physiology II, I referred to this book during the Blood module and also during the Lymphatic System and Immunity module and found information that did NOT line up with the material in my class. Some misalignments include; -Information on page 38, clotting pathways involving the extrinsic and intrinsic path, where factor X, should have started the common pathway in the diagram but it did not (at least from my limited understanding as a student). - Pg. 49 It stated that self tolerance mechanisms were still unclear yet in my Anatomy class, we were taught about central tolerance and peripheral tolerance. -Another misalignment was found on pg. 51 The bottom figure denotes an APC cell having an MHC 1 on its surface, and my course had different information. I am just a student and found these misalignments really frustrating! I feel like I can't trust the material presented in this book! I have been writing notes in this book, adding to diagrams and figures, and making corrections and that has helped me learn some of the material. Just be careful with the information presented and cross reference it with other material or just buy a better book!

This book is a good book to use if you want to learn about Hematology and how the blood works in the body. Soon as I got it, I read many pages and I liked how the book was laid out in terms I could understand. It definitely made it easy, simple, and kinetic for someone like me.

The books is overhyped, not worth the money you will spend, there are far better books with more valuable content from Indian authors at 1/3rd the price of this one. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Not as useful as I expected. Some of the information is nice but I was looking for a slightly more comprehensive review. Generally not bad for a hematology touch up and reference though
