Better than my last frother by Ikea
My last frother from Ikea cost less than $3 and lasted me for more than 6 years, but the inside got wet and batteries used up quickly. This BonJour Frother has a seal that won't allow water to get in when rinsing. The one touch button which has to be held while using was different than the on/off button on the Ikea version, but I have learned to adjust the speed by different pressure on the button. I couldn't believe how much froth came from such a small amount of milk! This was worth the $10, I would buy it again if I needed another and recommend this to anyone who makes their own lattes.Apparently I wrote this review almost 8 years ago. It has lasted me this long. I finally used it up after daily use for 8 years as the battery case came loose on the inside. About to purchase another. I hope it will last just as long. I have a backup that doesn't froth as well. Better to stay with the product that works and lasts !!

Broke after two months
I had one of these for several years that worked great. When it finally died, I bought this one. It broke after two months which is not good but worse was the "customer service." I contacted the seller through the Amazon Get Product Support function but got an email saying that the person was out of the office for a week which means this company is a one person show. They never did get back to me.

Great Bang for Buck
I agonized over whether to buy this or one of the more expensive milk frothers or coffee makers. Some fancy models go for hundreds even thousands of dollars. I figured for $10, I would try this little guy first. I am on week 2. I don't know how long it will hold up, but so far, I am thrilled. I hate the idea of spending tons to buy one of the super fancy new coffee machines. My 20 yr old Mr. Coffee actually makes decent coffee as long as I use decent beans. Let me tell ya, you take some nice fresh Peets house blend beans, you grind 'em up, you drip your coffee. Meanwhile, pour 1/3 a cup of low-fat milk in your mug. Microwave it for 35 seconds. Plunk this little frother in there and let her rip. Keep the frother positioned at the border between the liquid milk and the building froth, so that it can keep getting air. Tilt the cup to and fro as you froth. You will not be disappointed! I can get the whole cup full of froth if I want. And, trust me, the result is 100% coffee house! Yay!

Way better then expected
My sister in law had this on her Christmas list, I thought it looked like fun so I also put it on my list. I am so glad I did, I love it.When I first got it I didn't have any milk, but I had sugar free vanilla coffee creamer. I heated a small amount in the microwave and then used my new BonJour Milk Frother -- WOW half of my cup was froth and then I put some coffee in. I was IN HEAVEN!!! Since it tasted SO good, now all I use in different flavored creamers. The more expensive ones seem to froth better (vs store brands) and I have used fat free, sugar free and regular. Fat free and sugar free both froth a bit better, but they all work.I had friends over for an early football game and made these to order (which ever flavor they wanted). Everyone loved them and the creme bruelle I was told tasted just like Starbucks. This is the best $10 you will spend. I will put a picture so you can see the results for yourself.

I love this little frother a lot
I love this little frother a lot. It is very quiet and will give you lots of foam in about 1 minute. I was skeptical when I bought it because of the price but I have used it for 3 months and it has become the best tool to get a perfect latte.Suggestions.1) To get a better froth, make sure you use whole milk. If you use skimmed milk, it might take you 3 minutes to come up with some foam. I learned that lesson the hard way.2) To get amazing foam in a minute, just take the milk out of the fridge and put it in the microwave for one minute only.3) Make sure you only fill in half of a cup with milk. Thus frother makes the milk increase its volume/foam/size twice. Using more than half of a cup of milk will cause your will to spill.

Works great and easy to keep clean.
Wish it were a little more powerful but it sure works great and it has held up well for the first dozen or so uses. Froths milk well but also does a good job mixing the powder in hot cocoa.UPDATE: I have used this for over a year to make hundreds of drinks and other than replacing the batteries a few times it just goes and goes. I haven't thought twice about looking for another frother, and have recomended it to several people.I just warm the milk in the microwave for a few seconds and then add in my syrup and froth then pull my shot of express right into the cup. I like to wisk the espresso into the milk for just a second before I serve it.This has been one of the better additions to my kitchen and I keep thinking about getting a second one to bring to work, sure would make a second cup of joe more enjoyable.

You need this frother...
I just purchased my second BonJour Frother because I was so impressed with the first one. I usually made chai tea with half milk/half chai with some powered milk so I could get a little foam after heating it up. Now I don't need the powered milk thanks to this frother. In a large coffee/tea cup I can fill it about half full with milk and froth it to the top, so despite its size its pretty powerful. For this price of about $10 I highly recommend.UPDATE: I changed my review to 4 stars because you can only go several weeks before replacing the batteries, but still worth the $10.

I returned this item as it had dings on the housing as if it was mishandled during assembly. Overall it looks cheap if compared to Aerolatte. I bought as a second unit for travel needs it at a lower price than what's posted now and still don't think it's worth it. I will be a purchasing a second Aerolatte instead.

Hand-held battery operated devices might not be powerfull enough for all uses.
Not strong enough. Unable to turn well in thicker liquids.
