High Quality
I am in the process of wiring a house we bought recently. The old telephone wiring was pretty much shot and all the coaxial cable was run, as is typical, on the outside of the stucco walls and drilled directly into each room.I am putting in new CAT6 cables for Ethernet and RG6Q cables for television/satellite. I have been using this set to put compression fittings on the RG6 cables and it works great! Nice feel with a good, tight fit. Worked well with all the compression type fittings I tried and is certainly over-built for my small applications. The right tools make everything easier. This set is good in tat it fits in the carrying case well. The cutters are some of the best I have tried (I actually have a couple pairs). The compression tool is well made and easy to adjust, and the flaring tool is better than I thought it would be. The cutter works well, even with very thick cable sheath.Nice set!

Great tool! (slight learning curve)
I bought this took to run structured wiring in my house. I'm using the Belden 7915A cable with T&B SnapNSeal SNS1P6 connectors, and have been totally pleased with it!There is a bit of a learning curve. As somebody else stated, the tool doesn't come set up for F connectors. Reverse the silver knurled head in the tool so that the narrow part is facing the jaws that hold the cable. Then set the front of this knurled part to about the 6 mark on the tool, and you'll get solid crimps. Initially, I was using the flaring tool to try to make the connectors go on easy. I found it very difficult or almost impossible to get the connectors on if flared more than a tiny bit as the insulation jacket diameter gets slightly larger. It is FAR easier with this combination of parts to just push the fitting on without flaring at all, so I guess I won't need that tool right now.I purchased a 500ft spool of cable, these tools, and 100 connectors and have about $175 into the whole thing for professional quality connections. I'd have that much into getting a service guy out to the house once!

To cheap, should have gotten better quality tools
This was for a home project, and I was unhappy with the lever of complication on the adjustment, It seems straight forward, but you have to fine tune this tool so precisely for a good crimp it was frusturating. I highyl suggest you spend the extra cash for somehting nicer and easier to use. On a side note, it did do the job great! Just slow.

okay
Great tool, but like others said, the instructions are useless. It also doesn't come set up to use the enclosed ends. I have a good friend who is an electrician that gave me a crash course. I'd be lost otherwise.

Need to get Paladin Instructions!!!
The kit is great, but it is incredible that my factory-sealed box had ZERO instructions inside... the quick info outside is totally inadequate (although the photos are nice enough). You can get very good instructions in a Paladin document from<[...]>and click on the link for "Title:Operations Guide". Inside are instructions for a bunch of tools... the key ones in the kit are the 1257 Stripper, and the 1555 Crimper, PLUS the section on the SealTite Cable TV "F" Connectors. The most glaring "missing info" is that the silver "head" unscrews from the adjustable shaft, and reverses for use with the "F" connectors packed in the box. In other words, the tool is NOT set up for the included connectors. Once you reverse the head, adjust the shaft most of the way in until the front edge of the large knurled knob is on the "6" line (per the instructions in the linked manual above). That eliminates most of the guesswork. If Paladin had a how-to video, it would be worth 10,000 words!

Right Tool for the professional looking job!
I bought this kit along with 250 ft of RG6-Quad cable and a jar of Paladin SealTite RG6-Quad connectors. We were having construction at our house that the cable entry and distribution point was right in the way. I had to for the short term, get it all out of the way of the workers while maintaining TV and Internet. Once they were done with all the work find a new location and run a nice clean set-up.I consider myself handy but had adone a few Coax patch jobs that clearly prove the right tool for the job is mandatory. I had to do alot of cuts and stripping and crimps and wanted it done right. This kit allowed good secure and solid connections. Some flakey issues we had before with Cable signals went away once I ran new cable. I've since been able to help relatives with weak TV reception (no cable where they live) by running new lines and solid connectors. The signal strength improved enough to get solid pictures on multiple channels now.I'm surprised how often i use this kit to create new cables when we relocate TV's in rooms. Don't have to worry about a lot of extra cableOnly slight comment is the depth setting suiggested by Paladin for the crimper is too tight. When I first followed their instructions to the lettter, I created a small metal burr at the end of the connector that can (and did...ouch) easily cause a cut. Backing off the settings a bit solved the problem, just part of the learning curve.
