Can this be used to trigger Alexa routines?

Yes it can..I have it on internal garage/kitchen door. when sensor is open I have it set to trigger the garage lights on..and off when door is closed in an alexa routine..also alexa says "garage door open/closed..plus you get announcement on your mobile phone..only had it a week and works perfect.

Just wondering how would i connect this with ifttt? trying to do it but its not recognising the sensors?

Yes I set this up with mobile phone and a wi fi electric light bulb which must always be switched on and programmed off when closed and on when open after downloading the app and setting this up this also leaves a message and alarm on phone with time opened and time closed every time which I closed the setting for this as surely this not needed for fridge or freezer doors

I want a sensor that will tell me via alexa what doors/windows are open. Someone opens back door alexa announces back door opened. Will this work?
