I decorate cupcakes and cakes and I'm always vigilant about making sure what I get is truly edible. With this gold leaf I wanted to make sure it was pure and so I performed the flame test. Fake gold leaf turns to ash while real gold will melt. I'm happy to report that these sheets melted. All is just great. I wished to get a larger quantity though in one packet. Good discussion point, good gift, flavorless and good to have. Hope to have the vendor sell in larger quantity per pack.

The product itself is fine. Kinda hard to work with but I manage. This is the second time I've purchased it. This time around, the little box was thrown into my package with my other items and it must have opened and gold flakes went all over everything else in my package. The box with the gold flakes in it was not in any kind of bag or outer box. It was not protected, no barcode or anything. Just this little box of gold flakes thrown in with the rest of my stuff. I'm still deciding if I will return it.
