Received this yesterday as part of my Xmas gifts. I have to say firstly I was mega impressed by its first use. I have short fine frizzy hair, it's been bleached also. I find it hard to straighten my hair and with it being so short it's very difficult. So taking it from the box I was skeptical. But I put it on the hottest settings I could and set to work. My goodness hot 🔥 🥵 it was to hot it even burnt my forhead so please people be extra careful. This comb does get very hot indeed. Please take care when using and start off on a lower setting. The comb was really 👌 effective and straightened my hair beautiful leaving it looking in really good condition. No flyaway hairs no frizz, I've woken up this morning and my hair is still straight from yesterday just needs a gentle top up. I'm very impressed with this hot comb and would certainly recommend it to a friend. I'm a very happy customer and wouldn't hesitate to buy again it's amazing.

You want a hot comb? then this is the one to get especially if you are a first time user of electric hot combs and a black woman with real tough 4C coarse hair. What first impressed me was the speed this comb heated up to become usable (less than 2 mins) on it's lowest temperature 140c, then I put it up to 160c. Running the hot comb through a sections of my hair got the result I wanted after two strokes. My head hair is about 8 inches long and took about ten minutes to complete for the texture I desired (I didn't want it bone straight). The different heat settings really makes this comb what it is because it lets the user decide just how straight they want their hair to be, so glad I didn't purchse other combs that just do one high setting. It's super easy to use and another bonus is the comb guard which enables you to press your hair confidently especially the hair at the front. I'm so pleased that the first hot comb that I have ever bought surpassed my expectations!

It’s always easily turns off. Must be a safety feature but it wastes time when styling hair. Two year now and it just stop going on. I rarely use it by the way.

I bought this hot comb after seeing a TikTok video on how this straightens your cowlick. For as long as I can remember I have this really bad cowlick at the back of my head and it sometimes gives me a headache. Me feeling self conscious about it is what made me go down this hair journey. I bought this and the first time I used it it didn’t really live up to my expectations, but that was because I was using it wrong. You’re supposed to touch your hair with the rod whilst combing the hot comb through your hair. Then when I’m happy I just like to run the back of the hot comb on the place I want my hair to stay and I get super straight flat hair. Straight after I just spray my hair with some hair spray and boom your cowlick will NOT make an appearance until you brush your hair out. The hot comb even on the highest setting was not as hot as I expected, but it didn’t do that but it did the job so I’m not complaining. For reference I have fine, straight hair. In the instructions it just says to clean the comb with a wet rag, forget that as it’s not going to clean in between the teeth. Grab an old toothbrush and some cleaner and brush it

Finally! A straightner for black afro hair that actually works! Brilliant! I've tried so many that did not work. I like the heat guard and settings. Very lightweight! I use it on my lace wigs, perfect!

DO NOT BUY FOR BEARDS. I purchased this comb specifically because it mentioned it was for use on beards and stated it was ‘anti-scold’. What a load of rubbish! The attachment you put on the end of the heated comb to ‘protect’ yourself, does not work at all, and gets just as hot as the actual heated comb itself. I have burnt myself on my cheek where the ‘protection’ attachment brushed against my skin. Do not buy this item for its protection and anti-scolding features as they simply do not exist. This item is dangerous for use on beards in particular and should not be advertised as being suitable for that market. Am returning for full refund.
